Mass shooting at Lunar New Years event. 10 dead

Responsible gun owners. There's no such thing. Mass shootings will occur all the time thanks to the NRA.

NRA could do something about responsible gun ownership. NRA should do something about it. But they won't because they have become just a lobby for gun manufacturers. They don't care about gun owners, except buy another one!

What, in your mind, is a responsible gun owner because I believe the majority of gun owners are responsible.  If you mean anyone that owns a gun, legally or illegally, then I guess you are correct.  Just as there are those who drink responsibly and those who don't.

What could they do?

Where’s the outrage against alcohol ? You people only have selective outrage just as you claim about others

NRA gets blamed too much because of their name. I know a lot people with firearms that are not members of the NRA lol

In what world is no one outraged about drunk driving?  You've never heard of MADD?  Never seen ads about drunk driving?

The difference is the outrage about drunk driving is bipartisan and everyone agrees on the solutions.  With mass shootings it's political, largely due to the influence of the NRA.

Do you realize you're retarded?  Or are you still ignorant of that fact?

Promote/administer shooter safety courses. Educate gun owners. Join the discussion about firearm restrictions. Be a part of smarter gun control instead of letting the anti-gun crowd control the narrative. Unfortunately they'd rather promote more guns in more people's hands.

On the front page of the NRA website there is a list of sites within 50 miles of your location that offer shooting and safety courses, etc.  Might wanna make sure you have your facts straight before blowing off about something you are apparently clueless about.

They do that though. People get this idea in their head about the NRA that's just completely wrong and they wont change it for some reason

Exactly - there aren't any links promoting stores that sell guns.  It's all about courses, and also about federal and state regulations, etc.

I know they do. They DON'T do it enough. @mikemack8

 Whatever.  The people who are going out in public and murdering dozens of innocents aren't going to be swayed by an NRA promoted course on gun safety

On the first page there’s a way to search. The default ones are ranges and firearms training

How many times have you taken a NRA safety course?

I would say that 10-15% of the people I know who have guns are NRA members and that may be a high estimate.

The question is how the 6 yr. old got his parents gun. The Parents claim the gun was secured. I call BS.

6-year-old who shot teacher has ‘acute disability’, required parent as chaperone: family

The parents of the 6-year-old Virginia boy who shot his school teacher Abigail Zwerner said Thursday that their son is severely disabled — and claimed that the gun used in the shooting had been "secured,” according to a statement from their attorney.

The statement did not specify where the 9mm Taurus handgun was kept or how the child could have gained access to it.

"Our family has always been committed to responsible gun ownership and keeping firearms out of the reach of children,” the statement said.

"The firearm our son accessed was secured.”

The family also said that the unnamed first-grader "suffers from an acute disability and was under a care plan at the school that included his mother or father attending school with him and accompanying him to class every day.”

Anecdotal, but I'd say it's less than 10% of those I know. NRA doesn't have a good reputation.

I'm not a member so never. I've taken safety courses at ranges because it's required to use the range
