I pay for DirecTV at my place back home in the US for my family but here in the Middle East where I work I'm not able to watch Sunday ticket. I can VPN and watch regular DirecTV but I tried 2 different VPN's (Nord and SurfShark) and the Sunday Ticket app knows I'm using VPN then blocks me. I've been getting by with a super unreliable choppy stream site that some people here probably use also but that sucks.

i lived in a hotel for Dec-2020/Jan-2021 and was using a VPN to set my location all over (including setting to Europe where "Eagles" were the local market game), and in every case it kept showing me the Vikings game that was local to my physical location). If I pulled up Netflix it was showing all the programming available in the UK that's not in the states, but somehow the NFL knows how to ignore the VPN and still show you whats airing in your physical location. was teh sadness because everything in this state was shutdown due to covid so I was not able to go to a bar to watch.

Roger made the point when announcing this that the streamers will be contractually prohibited from lowering the price. I'd love to be able to buy the Eagles-only package as well, and maybe a few other high-interest games over the course of the season that aren't televised locally but that doesn't seem to be in the cards, either.

on NBA League Pass, I think 1 team was like $120 for the year (1-stream) and all 30 teams was like $180 at one point (but that may have bumped to $200). When the difference was like $60 I just said screw it and paid for the whole league.. but if Sunday Ticket full access is still around $400 for the season, I wouldn't be shocked if a single-team option was still like $250. Now, if the $250 comes with multiple streams and Red Zone, I am on board.

Not sure if I like this. I've been getting deep discounts or free for years. This will be my 3rd year in row getting it free.

Can you post an actual link to the group.  I have searched multiple times, that group is not showing up for me.

this makes me sad 😞

Now that I see NFL+ has the game replays it's not such a bad deal. They say all games will be available immediately after the broadcast ends. When I used game pass a few years ago none of the game replays were available until after the last 4:00 game ended.

If I can't get it on my TV then it's not worth it IMO. If you have Verizon you have always been able to watch any game but you couldn't cast it to your TV.

Yeah but for $5 a month you really can't go wrong.  I'm not always home when the local game is on so the ability to stream it in, say my car or at my kid's soccer game has value. This is meant to supplement, not replace, Sunday Ticket.

I need one that works overseas or that can be tricked by a VPN. DirecTV gave me Sunday Ticket for free again but it kills me that I can't watch it lol.

Thanks for the Facebook group posted @Mike030270 I'm going to try that one out first. 👍

It's not an ideal solution, but couldn't you just mirror your phone's whole screen via chromecast or apple airplay? I know you can't cast just the video, but in the past I've been able to mirror my whole screen and just put the video in Fullscreen and it worked fine.

I have not been able to do that. It just tells me that mirroring is disabled for that specific video. Not a big deal

Unfortunately, Fubo has been able to block or detect the Philadelphia servers that Windscribe has. So getting Philly locals has been hit or miss for me for over a year... less hit, mostly miss. One trick that I discovered last season was that by using another VPN that had a Philly server, but was completely blocked by Fubo, I could schedule the Eagles game to record on the DVR. Then once the game began, I could go in and watch the recording even as the game was being played though I couldn't watch it "live".

I don't think that method will work this season, but some other streaming services may work, like Hulu.

Thanks, DirecTV is giving me Sunday Ticket for free this season, but even at that, with everything going on here I don't really have the time to concentrate on it now anyway.
