That’s far more involved of a process than I ever would have known but glad to hear that you guys are past a lot of the technical aspects and time consuming activities. Do either of your employer’s benefits packages contribute in any way when you do get your little one? Yeah believe me - it's not lost on us that many people have kids and take advantage of a system we pay into, meanwhile we spent close to 6 figures trying to have a baby and now this process may also end in failure and disappointment. But having children is a blessing no matter the circumstances, and I think this path has just taught us to appreciate how special it is a little more.

I don't think I have any of the info still saved anywhere, but my california employer paid 100% of the costs for you (and a spouse) to be covered under their health insurance policy. So it was free healthcare for me and when I re-injured my surgically repaired knee, my MRI cost $50 for a co-pay. It was awesome.
