August 19, 20223 yr I mean given the camps that the other TEs seem to be having it isn't a surprise. JJAW wasn't making the roster so getting any value in return was decent.
August 19, 20223 yr The Seahawks social media team made not one - but two - hype videos for acquiring JJ-LOL!
August 19, 20223 yr The Eagles 2019 draft class has to be the worst ever, the only thing that was half way decent was Miles Sanders whom most professional running backs including Maurice Jones-Drew (MoJo) will tell you Miles is incredibly over rated (at best a 3rd string HB playing starter).
August 19, 20223 yr Let's check out JJAW's first preseason box score with the Seahawks: Wow, two targets and zero receptions. He's in midseason form already!

The most praise I ever gave him was arguing against the claim that he never got open or gained separation. He had his 3 years to prove his investment and ended his 3rd season with a drop on one of his very few opportunities. He began his preseason TE debut with a drop. There's room on a discussion board for people with a middle stance. Just because there weren't any vocal JJAW fanatics with some extreme opinion (arguing that he was great or something), doesn't mean anything I said was of that nature. At the end of last season, I agreed he was a bust. Those of you that predicted that before me are certainly entitled to your ITYSs. But then again, some of those same people also said Kelce was a liability after 3 seasons, Graham was a bust, Sanders was a bust, etc... Jo Coolio seems like an optimist. I don't actually have a twitter account. You should go burst his bubble. 1 hour ago, Kz! said: Let's check out JJAW's first preseason box score with the Seahawks: Wow, two targets and zero receptions. He's in midseason form already! Shouldn't this be in the JJAW tracker thread?
August 20, 20223 yr You never know how things will turn out. Things didn't work out here. Sometimes all it takes is for a QB to like a certain target in practice and they build chemistry. In Seattle's situation, they don't really have a QB they are committing to. So an opportunity can present itself for any QB on their roster and that might help a guy like JJAW (because of shared practice reps). JJAW got a lot of ST work with us last season which should give him a shot to stick on Seattle's 53. But in order to really stick around, he's going to have to prove he can contribute in some role as a WR too. Things didn't really work out for Ed McCaffrey on his 1st two teams. He had established himself as one of the NFL's better blocking WRs. He eventually found a role on the Broncos and would become one of Elway's favorite targets over the years. McCaffrey became one of the NFL's best "clutch" WRs. It's hard to picture JJAW doing the same ... but he's not out of the NFL yet.

August 31, 20223 yr Why did Seahawks even make this trade? I dont get it. Did they owe a favor to Howie or something?

It's pretty common to swap bubble players that you might be interested in. If they get cut someone else can sign them. The Eagles have done it in prior years as well. GM's are just trying to see if they can find a fit or get something out of a player maybe at a position group where they need some depth or they're looking to add to their special teams. It's low risk.
August 31, 20223 yr I find it Ironic that JJaw now plays with D.K. while Reagor is now playing with Jefferson.
