I get it and understand where you are coming from. I just don't see the benefit of throwing a handful of passes now and then not play again for a month. Seems like an unnecessary risk. 

Entering week 1 with a total of one series with the starters seems a bit too little to me despite the additional injury risk.

    Whatever is going on with the Fins.. it will be interesting to see if this game this weekend will be played.
