September 2, 20223 yr I like the signing for low risk high upside but it concerns me that the 49ers gave up on him after one season...having said that it's possible he just wasn't a good fit for the 49ers. I can't say I honestly payed any attention to the RB situation in SF.

September 2, 20223 yr Hard to say at this time if this will turn out to be a solid signing or not ... have to wait until he gets here starts getting up to speed. Having one of (if not the) best OLs in the league leading the way for him likely only increases his odds of being successful. But obviously nothing guaranteed. At this point though, hard to expect any kind of splash signing ... this is a really low risk move. And we all know the roster will be in complete flux over the coming days ... he very well may be gone or replaced by someone else before Sep 11.
September 2, 20223 yr He's got good burst speed. Reminds me of Jordan Howard in how fast he gets going and hits the hole. The comparison stops there but that burst is good enough to get positive yards as long as he doesn't get happy feet.

Vision needs some work but hey kick the tires on pretty much a free 3rd round pick.
September 2, 20223 yr It’s hard to look bad behind our OL, chances are he’ll see some huge holes and has a good time here.

He might be a good, normal running back, not against the move but 215 isn't Jordan Howard. Jalen Hurts is 222 pounds and 4.59 40. AJ Brown is 226 pounds and 4.49 40. How about getting Jeremiah Hall, put him on practice squad? Did you miss the part where I said maybe he can put on some weight?
September 2, 20223 yr Couldn't they have signed Sony Michel?? He'd bring experience and short yardage power, unless he'd be another Murray.

September 2, 20223 yr He started his rookie season behind Mitchell who was drafted 3 rounds behind him and Mostert and even when Mostert went on IR after the first game he still barely got snaps, Mitchell beat him hollow. The 49ers kept 4 running backs this year and this guy couldn't catch on ahead of UDFA's. How much better is he than what we have on the PS?

If they wanted Harris they could have poached him off their PS and added him to the 53 instead of claiming Sermon off waivers.
