Dude has less than 1.5 seconds. It takes WRs time to get open. What I don't understand is why they don't call a screen play when they see the blitz coming.

Hurts isn't the answer. Hasn't changed at all from last season with even better weapons around him. He just isn't good enough.

You guys are too hard on Hurts.    He has been really good at times today and the offense has put up 31 points.    You have to give some credit to Detroit's Defense.    They are pressuring us far more than we are pressuring Goff (which is basically nothing).

Kinda. They don't trust RB1 to throw with pressure in his face. Hence the screens and short dump offs.

Yup. He’s used to being the best athlete on the field and doesn’t or can’t stand in the pocket and deliver a ball under pressure.

these coaches are soft on their players and it shows. "We don't tackle to the ground in practice" is a good example. Part of winning in the NFL is being the toughest on the field. You don't get hurt, the other guy does. Can't test that on your guys with a soft approach.
