Dallas is toast this season

Almost sucks because it will be used as an excuse for what was clearly going to be a disastrous season in Big D anyways.  Biggest stat of the night:  Lamb 11 targets, 2rec 16yds.  Ouch.

I went into the season thinking Dallas would finish third.  I may have been too bullish.

Yes, but maybe it will convince them to give Mike McCarthy another chance after this season? We don’t want them to hire an actual good coach like Sean Payton.

I was gonna add that.  It could be the excuse Jerruh needs to stick with lame roster construction that is his fault anyways.  But I think McCarthy is toast, Jerruh will throw something absurd at Payton like 10 yrs 170m

Yes on McCarthy and the second part makes too much damn sense.

 

Disagree with the non bolded part, doesn't Stephen pretty much run the team now?  I honestly think he's a pretty solid GM.  Not great, but not a disaster either.

I called it in the upset thread, really don't think it will be considered much of an upset by midseason.  Titans are mediocre.  No Landry, no AJ Brown, OLine isn't what it was a few years ago, 34 yr old tannehill gonna get majorly exposed. I think they only win 7 games because Vrabel is a damn good coach and they live in the worst division in football.

They were already likely to take a big step back this year. Now they’ll be fighting the Giants for 3rd. Eagles win the division pretty much by default this year.  

I hope they use this as an excuse to keep McCarthy who honestly isn't a very good coach. He had the benefit of having Rodgers at QB with Dom Capers getting the best out of that D. 

Just looked at their schedule.  They might only win 2-4 games. 

McCarthy sucked in Green Bay, I have no idea why anyone thought he could do anything with the lack of talent he inherited in Dallas.

Below avg oLine, the worst RB tandem in the division, a backup Qb and no run defense.  yeah they are in trouble.

Dallas has ALWAYS received too much hype early in the season......Since the 90's.........they weren't that good last year despite a 12-5 record....they won 2-3 games on last minute scores that were really fortunate mistakes by opponents......they ran the score up on weak defenses.   

They were never the serious super bowl contender that the media always predicts for them.......nor are they now.....

They will certainly be drafting in the top 5 of next years draft.  They are a bad team without a lot of talent.  If they could somehow unload Zeke, they might be able to put something together, but other than a couple of great pieces, there isn't much there.

Dallas seems to implode around once every 5 seasons.  Seems overdue.  McCarthy's on his way out.

I'm not a fan of McCarthy, but this one is not him.  There's just not enough pieces to make it work.  Dak wasn't good enough when he had the weapons, he's certainly not good enough now.
