Special teams finally makes a huge play and they get no credit. The kick was not missed, it was blocked by #93 Williams

I could have sworn that ball was tipped then took a hard right. But because nobody in the booth said anything I just let it go.

Exact scenario that happened against the Bears a few seasons ago when Bears fans lambasted Cody Parkey for missing an easy kick that, as it turned out, our ST unit actually blocked.  That time, the league went back and credited it accordingly.

Can you really tell just from that angle?  Has the ball reached the LOS yet?

The ball flight was identical to the pregame attempts they showed before this kick.

And why didn't Williams say anything after the game?  Treyvon Hester said he tipped the Double Doink.

This photo also shows a penalty against the Cards for illegal hands to the face. As you can see # 65's head is being pushed back.

Agree with Connecticut, ball was not tipped, it is perfectly end over end, the ball rotation would change if it was tipped.

doesn't really show anything

Yeah the guy literally missed the exact same kicks the exact same way pre game, I don't think it was tipped, he just had a mental block about making kicks from that side and pushed it wide.

Go back and watch it. The trajectory changes with his hand tipping the ball. That pic shows the ball meeting his hand

The ball did the exact same thing he did multiple times in pre game warm ups.  The spin on the ball is perfect, never changes as you would expect when tipped.

Cool

Just because it happened in pre game warmups doesn't change the fact that Williams tipped his kick. If you think that spin was perfect after it crossed the LOS you need your eyes checked.  SMH

Yeah, just because it happened exactly the same 3 times in a row in pre game warmups is no reason to think it happened again  :roll::roll::roll::roll:

I see you have a problem accepting things that the human eye can clearly see.

Not one Eagles player or coach indicated that it was blocked.

If the damn ball hit his hand full on like that it would have gone straight up in the air not drifted right like it did, it's a trick of perspective.

Maybe this is where the ball was when it got to Williams.

If you watch it at full speed it definitely appears to have been blocked. Also at the 3 second mark you can see the ball hit is hand and deflect to the right because of it. At the 11 second mark you get another view showing it clearly hit his hand.

Whether it was tipped or not ... just glad it missed.  :smoke:

If I tipped the ball I'd have let that be known by now. I suspect Williams would have as well

who cares? We won. On to next week.

If it’s just the tip or no tip it at all, it still a miss.  If there isn’t some shaft involved, it didn’t count.
