Have to think they would like to have him back ASAP but also are willing to give him one more week off since our bye follows hoping the extra time off gets him much closer to 100% and not risk aggravating the injury putting the 2nd half of the season in jeopardy. It's a tough one. If he is ready he should go. I get the concept of giving your most important player an extra two weeks of recovery especially sitting at 5-0 but This is a HUGE game and the outcome could set the tone for the rest of the season for the nfce
October 12, 20222 yr It's easy for me to say as I don't have to make the call, or carry the injury - but if Mailata can go, he goes. Win on Sunday and we are unbeaten going into the bye, two games up on Dallas, with the tiebreaker. It's a big, big game.

I'd feel better about giving Mailata more time if Dillard was ready to go on Sunday. Don't want Driscoll out there at LT again against that Dallas pass rush.
October 12, 20222 yr I'm too lazy to quote but whoever said this was a trap game was right on. There was lots of emotion over beating Doug 2 weeks ago, and a huge matchup against a division rival after. I think these guys maybe were overlooking a forgettable trip to Arizona to play down there. It's totally believable. However, we won this game, and IDGAF what Donovan says, winning games like this makes teams champions. You gotta win those games when nothing goes right, lots of miscues, penalties, etc. These guys found a way to win, thanks to our new fried Dicker the Kicker. Fingers crossed about Mailata, I suspect he'll be back for this game. I also see that Dillard is close, too, so that gives us some more depth there.
October 12, 20222 yr For me this this game felt sloppy because we struggled to finish drives in the 2nd half (again) and gave up some terrible 3rd and longs to allow them to stay in it. Let's hope they were prepping for the Cowboys all last week because you don't beat good teams playing like we played against the Cards.
October 12, 20222 yr It's all woulda, coulda, shoulda with Philly fans.......find something to complain about regardless of outcome. Philly fans always seem to forget that the opposing team is a professional football team and there are loads of factors that go into winning a game and few of those factors translate from game to game. If it were so easy to predict, they wouldn't have to play the games.

He'll still get 2 weeks following the game to rest and recover. This is a critical division game and the Eagles need to establish themselves as the team to beat. With Seumalo, Kelce, and Dickerson all toughing it out, I'm guessing Mailata will give it a go.
