You're gonna be held accountable for this post.......I'd advise you not to trifle with His name.

Is this the guy who also believes the world is flat? Things are making a lot of sense.

You sound like an Earth Dweller, that would make a lot of sense.

Look at this political spectrum:

And they say bipartisanship is dead.

I know several people who have died from COVID. Ditto with cancer, and a couple of other nasty diseases.

I don't know anyone who died from seasonal flu, and I've been around a while.

Always get the flu shot, it's a no brainer in my mind.  I have to admit though, I don't understand people on here saying that they will get the new Covid shot but not the flu shot.  Makes no sense to me...get both!

I just did get both Thursday evening.

Getting the Current Covid Booster on 11-10-22. :towel:

Just got over covid. The whole family had it. Second time my son brought it home from school, we now refer to him as patient zero around the house.

Isn’t it for omicron which is pretty much gone now? I can’t get it until I am 90 days out from covid, but I’m not sure if there’s much point to getting this one

Last I saw it was a 80/20 split between BA.5 and BQ.1.1 but even still, the latter is a sublineage of the former so it still should be fairly well covered by the bivalent booster (which targets original and BA.5)

Just curious. They say the flu is going to be nasty this year. I never used to get them until I got married and had kids. My wife convinced me to start (she works in a hospital and is required to). I haven't gotten the flu since, other than the one year when I moved and didn't have a chance.

Season started early and they got a head start on the strain this year apparently.  It's supposed to be wildly effective.

I have an aunt that lives in Alabama, she got the flu shot about a month or so ago. Within about 48 hours, she was in the hospital. Her platelets dropped to dangerously low levels, near death levels.

They gave her an infusion and monitored her and the numbers looked good, so she went home. Without infusions, the platelets drop so low that you bleed to death internally.

2 days later, she was back with the same issue. This has been an ongoing problem ever since the flu shot. The doctors say that it was caused by the flu shot. Now, I've read that this is a possibility from the flu shot but since 1990, something like 125 cases have happened. So very rare. But they're being told that this has happened to multiple people in various places this year. Also, I've read that Alabama's healthcare system is one of the worst in the nation, so there's that.

My aunt is tired of the up and down of constant infusions and the doctors in Alabama tell her that there's nothing that they can do. So she's gone home to let things take their course.

I have no idea if it's truly from the flu shot or not, but it's definitely something to keep in mind.

My chimney, my choice.

Last year was the first year I got the flu even though I got a flu shot. This year I got covid right before I was supposed to get it, so I will probably just skip it at this point.

Like I said, I have no idea if it's true that the flu shot is responsible, but she passed away 2 days ago and the doctors are saying that it was the flu shot that caused the issue that caused her death.
