Bears are most of the contract

If they pay and we give up a 4th that seems reasonable.

Can't keep doubling people now. That's the logic behind it.

Did we pass the "real test" of the bye week?

It's a trap signing, he might end up with the Nasty Nate Award.

But I blame McNabb.

I've been blaming Freddie Mitchell's hands for years

Do we even have 13 M$? And for how much did we get him?

32 isn't really young either...

Edit: a fourth is not too painful. Just a lot of salary.

Bears trading pass rusher Robert Quinn to Eagles for fourth-round pick (nfl.com)

Bears eating most of it. That's why it was a 4th for a 32yo with a huge contract and declined numbers.

We won this trade massively.

Definitely an upgrade from Barnett.  This was a no brainer for a 4th.

Also, if he produces this season and the Eagles let him walk, we will get a decent comp pick.  So, very little downside here.

Howie kicks ass again.

there is more years on his contract but i don’t think much more it would cost much to cut him before next season if he doesn’t produce we just wouldn’t be in line for a comp pick from him.

I keep seeing tweets like this. Hunt incoming?

OMG exactly the type of trade/player we needed. Howie is on a Fing roll.

4th is high but it's worth it for the cap. I wanted a Long type of DE and they got one. I'd like to see a move for depth at S but so far so good.

For one 4th round pick?  I’ll take that any time.

Can't believe they traded a draftpick when they have 17 free agents including 10 starters and a big contract coming for Hurts.

Wtf does that have to do with anything?

Let's get Roquan too!

Next Thursday is the real test.

Well - we now have 6 draft picks, have to sign the quarterback and don't have much cap money to spend on our own or other teams' free agents. Uness Howie trades those 2 1st round picks for multiple picks we won't be able to restock for 2023.

10 starters will be really hard to replace.

Hopefully coming to a contender will give Quinn a boost in his play........with 11 games remaining, it would be great to see him rack up some sacks and generally be a menace.

Good addition,.....

Spoiler alert before he answers:  absolutely nothing.

Picks do help manage the cap, so not nothing. But a fourth? Almost nothing.

I believe that Howie has already created scenarios for the offseason......cap wise and who he will try to resign.  Going to be difficult to keep all the key guys, but nobody thought Howie would do what he did this last offseason with signings, draft picks and the salary cap issues.

Unless there is a star to be had with the Saints pick I expect him to trade down and then use these picks to replace the guys we don't resign.

We're set up well either way.
