Here's a picture of my workout coach for today. She lead me on a 2 mile run around the neighborhood and all the way out to 422! You don't get a workout like that with a cat!

Why is she looking at you like you're about to beat her?

Cause I think the subtle context of this picture got lost. She had just gotten loose and lead me on a 2 mile chase around the neighborhood and out into the highway, where I had to try and stop traffic so she could get back off the highway. Then when we finally got her home, she got a bath (which she hates) as her punishment. This picture is post punishment bath.

You probably shouldn't punish your dog because you didn't properly train her to not run off :nonono:

*Some dog owners - I can take my dog for walks without a leash. She also doesn't need leashed when going out to relieve herself.

I probably punish your mom nightly because your dad didn't properly train her to not run off.

Bah! Mom joke! :flex:

We got her as a rescue from a kill shelter when she was an"older" puppy. She spent the first 6 months being terrified of doors. If the only knock on her is she thinks it a game to run off if she's off the leash, I'm ok with that. Other than that, she's a great dog

Ahh - makes more sense.  How old?  I got my pup at 11 weeks - even at that age they have tendencies that are harder to break.  Hers was biting too much when playing, cause that's how she played with her siblings.

Good boy....🤣

That's a beauty looking Golden though (the dog, not the shower). The Mrs. and I are thinking of taking the plunge and getting one. It's been a few years since we've had a dog in the house but we're ready for another one.

Just shy of 5 months. She was fast and shifty enough from the beginning that we couldn't catch her if she was off the leash.

2 days before we picked her up

We did one of those DNA tests and she is straight husky/boxer. We were expecting a lot more, especially because we were told by the shelter that she was hound/Shepard

That's surprising.  Given her coloring and ears I would have sworn there was some hound in there.

That's what we thought too, but then we googled boxer husky mix and it looks just like her
