Our dogs will bark and run to the door whenever our oldest.....flies over our house.  I swear it.  I know it sound improbable and I still can't figure out how it's possible but it's happened too many times to pretend it doesn't.  It's not just any plane, either, we have them fly over all the time and the only time it's happened, they jump up barking and run to the door as if someone is getting ready to open it, like they do whenever someone is getting ready to open it, it's been his plane flying over.  At first we wonder who's here, but then we hear the plane and text to see if it was him.  It was.  More than a few times. How is that possible?

Another reason why dogs are better than cats.

She really is a beautiful dog.  It's awesome how bad you guys spoil her, as you should.

Rant here.  So there’s a farm that I pass every day on my way to and from work.  They have a large barn right next to the road (fairly busy road) with a fenced in area.  A few years back they had three Saint Bernards in the fence.  I used to enjoy seeing them when I drove by because my first dog was a Saint Bernard.  One day when I went by one of them was laying dead right in front of the house, had been hit by a car.  Eventually all the dogs seemed to disappear - no clue what happened to them.  Fast forward to this past year - they got a Bernese mountain dog and then a little while later a white golden retriever (looked a lot like Maggie).  Well yesterday or the day before the golden must have got loose and it ALSO got hit and killed.  The poor thing laid along the road for a full day before anyone noticed and got it.

I am so pissed.  First of all - no one ever is outside playing with these dogs at all, so what the hell is the point of having them? Second - if you can’t keep your dogs safe that close to the road, PUT THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE. I’m not sure if there’s anything that can be done but I want so badly to call the local dog catcher or whatever and have them at least stop in and tell them they need to secure their fence if they’re gonna keep getting more dogs.  F those people.
