Pickles the blind squirrel died today. He lived in a cage in our breakfast nook for the last 6 or 7 years. The way that squirrel moved around the cage you would never have known he was blind except for the whole no eyes thing. He was fast, he was quite dangerous, he was a wild animal living in my kitchen. He’ll be missed for a little while.

New Phillies season starts with a win.

Me and Dixie took a walk today to get a slushie from the beer distributor before the Phillies game. Someone isn't used to going on walks. She just might sleep for the rest of the weekend

He usually just puts his front paws up, but decided to jump right up. 
 

His other eye is brown. I think it’s called hexichromia, or maybe that’s the chemical that Erin B found in the water. He’s a 50/50 GSD/Husky Mix. I’ve spoiled him more than any pet I’ve had, even my kids for that matter. He is awesome. 🙏

Yeah funny but I could just tell. heterochromia.

There have been a few in the family (the dogs not the people).

 

As for the lap dog thing - my niece has a 50 kg bull mastiff that thinks he can curl up on you like a housecat until you have to call an ambulance. But this is why we love dogs.

Sitting on the couch and I hear snoring. Look over and it's just princess Dixie on her throne of blankets.

I loved the way you would run across the yard to great visitors and they would run back to their cars screaming in terror. You were intimidating looking, but you were the sweetest gentlest goofball. You will be sorely missed.
