I've always disliked Suh because I thought he was a complete A-Hole (and he was, really).  But, I did find this little tidbit in an article written in June of 2021...hopefully this is exactly who he still is as a person because it means a lot when it comes to fitting in with the team and not being a bad influence/disruption, etc...

"If you’ve watched me play, you know I can be a lot of in your face,” Suh wrote. "I’m a very direct person by nature. My job is entirely about imposing my will on others. So that bleeds into other aspects of my business. For a long time in my career, I was always just saying what I wanted to say. Never thinking about how I delivered the message. Everything changed when I got to Miami. I was in a strong, influential position. So I was just making my opinion known, regardless of how it impacted others. 2 years in, I realized this attitude was: Creating divisions on the team Pushing people away Putting me in a negative headspace.”

Suh said things were even worse when Adam Gase was hired as head coach in Suh’s second year. But eventually, Suh learned to improve the way he communicates.

"Then along came our new coach. I disagreed with everything he wanted to do. But…nothing I said was being heard. I couldn’t get the support I wanted. I realized it was because I had 0 tact. If you’re not careful about how you do things, you end up being the bad guy,” Suh wrote. "So what did I start doing that I still do today? 1. I listened way more than I talked 2. I paid attention to HOW I interacted with people 3. I observed others reactions and adjusted as needed 4. I chose my words carefully to be more empathetic. It was a total 180. There was less arguing & more agreements. I turned my influence on the team into impact. But most importantly, I felt better about myself and my mood improved.”

From all indications, Suh has fit in well with the Buccaneers, who keep bringing him back and have signed him to one-year contracts in three straight years."

It’s obvious we are going all in this season.

100% certain Howie would have been ready to drop a 1st or 2nd on the D-line if the trade deadline wasn't here yet.

That was a good read and it makes me happy for him, regardless of being an eagle. People can change.

I absolutely love both these moves. Imagine what Davis can learn from Suh and Joseph.

On the bright side there's only half of a season left for the old big guys to get injured in. It's easy to see that's why they got two of them.

Yeah, sure looks like Suh misses a lot of games… even last year he started all 17

Agreed.  Don't want any bad juju on this team, lol.

He's missed 2 games IN HIS CAREER.  And not because of injury, but because of suspension. Professional athletes are different now than they were back in the day.  Their training, conditioning and nutrition are state of the art.  Nobody who wants to play is "sitting on the sofa eating Cheetos".

He's coming here to be a role player and take 20 or so snaps a game so Fletcher doesn't have to play 70 (which he just did).  This is a great situational signing.

Yep. Kind of smart on his part. At this stage of his career it’s about winning titles, so sit back and wait until the contenders start to separate themselves so he knows he’s going to a team with a shot to win.

Check out his Twitter feed.  He's very insightful guy, posting about financial literacy,  education, and the housing market.  He was well-regarded in Tampa where he won a ring with Brady by being Mahomes' worst nightmare.

His bad-guy brand is well-earned, but also well-crafted.  Like a wrestler.

If Gannon can’t make this defense elite, he needs to be somewhere else in 2023.

I think Suh should play on Sunday. Keep it simple - just have him learn 2 play calls

1) The clog up the middle.

2) The Stomp.

Yeah, like gargling the slurpee machine at 7/11. He looks like that guy.

Here's the thing... the Howie is trying to clog up the middle with big lineman, to stop the run.... but if you notice, the whole D cannot tackle anyone. They all arm tackle waist high. THAT is purely BAD coaching. It's more coaching/technique than big guys stuffing the run. Gannon needs to go, period. A D that gets gashed every game, arm tackling waist high... bye Gannon.

Some of that is how soft they practice and there camps are.

Don't get me started of Camp SiriSoft™. 🤣

Two signings that could be a blast to watch. I don't buy the hype though. This team is collapsing with injuries. I don't think that they have the maturity yet to overcome key injuries. I hope I'm wrong.

Rest of the season really. With Fields finding his legs. Pretty much the rest of the teams are all run 1st teams. Gannon has many weeks to figure this out. I find it crazy that 1 person gone could affect the run D. And a rookie too. So we brought in 2 pro bowlers to help fill that void. Good sign I guess.

Jonathan Taylor
Aaron jones
Derick Henry
Saquan Barkley
Justin fields
Pollard and Zeke
Kamara
Saquan Barkley.

True... was hoping the big boy would be back for those later games.

Gannon now has to teach Ndamukong Suh how to arm tackle, waist high.

First he has to learn slot corner

Our Defense is stacked people.  Just throw everyone out there, lol.   But yes Suh gave us some trouble in the playoffs last year.  Glad he's our side this time.

Inside the Ndamukong Suh deal

Posted by Mike Florio on November 18, 2022, 7:48 PM EST

Veteran defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh waited to pick his next team. On Thursday, he did.

Here’s a look at the details of the one-year deal with the Eagles that covers the balance of the season.

1. Signing bonus: $250,000.

2. Base salary: $750,000 for eight weeks, fully guaranteed.

3. Per-game roster bonus: $31,250 per game (total of $250,000).

4. Per-game playing-time incentive: $62,500 for each regular-season game with more than 30 percent of the snaps (total of $500,000).

5. Per-game playing-time incentive: $31,250 for each regular-season game with more than 35 percent of the snaps (total of $250,000).

He gets another $125,000 for each playoff win, if he participates in 30 percent or more of the regular-season snaps. If he doesn’t participate in 30 percent or more of the regular-season snaps, he gets $125,000 for each postseason win in which he participates in 30 percent of more of that game’s snaps.

It’s a deal with a base value of $1.25 million, with a maximum payout of $2.5 million.

On one hand, Suh was able to wait for the true contenders to emerge. On the other hand, he could have made a lot more by, for example, returning to the Buccaneers.

That I’m not so sure of. Howie isn’t the type to make a move like that so haphazardly. The run defense has basically been an issue all season. This is just the first time that it really cost the team. There were two inexpensive vets out there and Howie signed them. This is a low risk potential hig reward type move and not a desperation type of move.

Between Joseph, Suh, and Davis when he returns it should be enough to significantly drop the amount of snaps Cox has to make and perhaps that will allow for more quality snaps from him. All in all this should be the last year of Cox. They never should have brought him back at the number they did. It’s time to move on from Graham, Cox, and Barnett. The draft should be heavily invested in the defensive line.
