Is it too early to repost the article RFKs group put out recently talking up the health benefits of Measles?

You get the same health benefits with vaccination. Without all the pesky complications that comes from contracting the disease out in the wild.

School-aged child. What a senseless and preventable death. This administration is about to have a lot of those on their hands.

^^^^^^^^If you listened to the end someone says "You sound a little under the weather yourself"  Almost lost my sip of water. ^^^^^^^^😁

Pretty much every measles outbreak in this country has either taken place in migrant facilities or Amish communities.

He just says crap. On Rogan he just straight up made up info on a study about mercury, vaccines and autism. Things easily refutable if you just read the abstract of the paper. He's an idiot and he's overly confident. It's a bad combo.

Don't worry guys. I am sure Trump will say measles will be gone in two weeks.

The problem is it mostly effects kids. The kids of idiots but still, kids. Most of the Samoa measles outbreak deaths (actually RFKs fault) were less than 4.

Explain "migrant facilities" - Do you mean international airports?

Yeah, the worldwide vaccination rate is decreasing. So people are bringing it with them from other countries, combined with community vaccination rates under 95%... Recipe for disaster. We should probably get that community immunization rate to 98% or better... I don't think Amish are traveling internationally all that much. So where do they get it from? The community.

Just get both doses of MMR and you're in good shape.

Yes, it is sad. The idiot parents made their decision on information received from another idiot most likely farming for hits and clicks. Which makes it an accountability issue. If we’re not going to hold people accountable for spreading disinformation (that have REAL, negative consequences) then A LOT of people will learn about disinformation the hard way… or not at all.

And that matters, why? The MMR vaccination rate has been declining for quite a few years. COVID can be blamed for some, but idiocy accounts for most of it.

Yup.  Higher level of unvaccinated population.

Refugees, which Biden ushered in by the boatload under the guise of asylum, aren’t required to prove their vaccination status.  So it’s not surprising that outbreaks of disease (like TB, Measels, etc…) happen in areas that have a heavy recent influx of undocumented migrants.

Isolated Measles outbreaks aren't new. The frequency seems to be increasing which is concerning, but the decreasing rates of MMR vaccination amongst the general population is much more concerning. Measles is incredibly contagious. Herd immunity needs to be much more robust than say the Flu, or haemophilus or pneumococcus to prevent these outbreaks from spreading like wildfire. The average person with the Flu will infect 1-2 people. The average person with Measles will infect 12-18 people.

Hopefully we stay above that threshold.

Flooding a population with 10's of millions of outsiders will have that effect.

No. Orthodox Jewish communities are the most common outbreak demo (if you don't count kids of anti-vax hippies.) Outbreaks in migrant facilities have only happened a couple times.

Those Amish Texans need to go back to where they came from!

Yes they are another one.

I'll never understand the resistance to vaccinating your children.  It's mind boggling.
