Posted November 28, 20222 yr Right now I count 10 possible pro bowlers on this team. The record is 13 by the 2019 Ravens. On offense, Hurts, Kelce and Lane are locks, and Brown and Sanders are pretty much locks as well. Goedert would probably be a lock but with his injury he's not going to make it. Lane was a clear snub last year, and will be an obvious inclusion this year. On defense, CGJ, Slay and Bradberry are locks. Interceptions are a big part of the equation, and they are all among the league leaders. Reddick and Hargrave are definitely in the hunt, but there's a ton of competition at their spots, so they need to finish strong. Edwards has a decent case, and with Parsons playing almost exclusively at olb, he may sneak in. But my guess is that he won't. He is okay but not great, and others will probably get votes over him. What is interesting is that, if we played in the AFC, a lot of guys wouldn't make it. But we are clearly in a much weaker conference right now.

With late alternates added (which I don't really count).

November 28, 20222 yr didn’t the league get rid of the actual game ? eagles got at least 7-8 more if it works out, you can never tell
November 28, 20222 yr Author One notable thing is that four of our likely pro bowlers - Bradberry, CGJ, Reddick and Brown - were all guys we picked up this year, and Bradberry and CGJ were acquired for almost nothing If we go far in the playoffs, the team absolutely nailing these moves will be a huge factor in it. I am guessing it is not common for a team to sign four players in free agency who go on to have pro-bowl quality seasons.
November 28, 20222 yr I think we'll have around 8. This is how I see it: Locks: Hurts, Kelce, Lane, Slay, CJGJ Good chance: Brown, Dickerson, Hargrave, Reddick, Bradberry Long shot: Sweat, Cox, Edwards, Sanders
November 28, 20222 yr As a guess, I would say: Hurts Kelce Lane Goedert CJGJ Edwards (high numbers show on the voting page) Maybe Mailata Elliott Slay Bradberry Seumalo I think six or seven will actually make it. Having the best record in the league, and voting no longer being conference-based, will help some of those bubbl;e guys. But none of them will actually play - they will be getting ready for the Super Bowl
November 28, 20222 yr I've never really rated the pro bowl. As others have said it's more of a popularity contest. Some years some of the players voted in are just ridiculous so I can't place much stock in it.
November 28, 20222 yr I never went pro, but I did a little amateur bowling when I was younger back in the late 70's early 80's. But it was Duckpin, not Ten-pin.

For example, Sanders has 900 yards and 8 TDs, which puts him squarely in the discussion. But Jamaal Williams is having an absurd year as far as TDs, so he probably gets squuezed out by him, Cook and Barkley. But it is still noteworthy that he is in the conversation, whereas in previous years he was not even close.
November 29, 20222 yr Too many? Not enough? Who cares! Jason Peters was making Pro Bowls late in his career even though he couldn’t block my Golden Retriever. Win games. That’s all that matters.
November 29, 20222 yr The only Bowl we need to worry about is the Super Bowl, then the toilet bowl for after the partying is over!
November 29, 20222 yr I legitimately thought this thread was asking how many of us actually bowl. P.S. I think my lifetime high score is a 202.

I just think it's so subjective. For example with Hurts, on paper his stats don't necessarily like that of a top 3 QB in the NFL but he is. We all can see that he is by watching him every week. Now there's no doubt he's going to make the pro bowl but if you looked at the stats alone he may not. Sanders has 900 yards already? Wow that is insane.

The voting is just a straight vote now, it's not by conference (even if it was Barkley, Jones, Pollard, Cook and McCaffrey all have a better case), which means I have as much chance of being a pro bowl RB as Miles Sanders, and that's if people were voting solely based on statistics, add in the popularity contest factor and we won't get near 10.

Pretty sure he also leads the NFC in rushing TDs.

November 29, 20222 yr In response to @nipples (a phrase I never thought I would type!), two reasons. Firstly, when people think of the Eagles rushing, they think of Hurts, not Sanders. We see Boobie every week, most non-Eagles fans don't, and I suspect he's not a household name. Secondly, an oversight on my part. But yes, I agree, he should at least be a maybe
November 29, 20222 yr I thought the pro bowl wasn’t even happening anymore. Aren’t they doing some sort of skills competition now?
