ToastJenkins Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Restarting this with Green Guiness - perhaps even set up some trading Had a 450 North TIPA called Bag Stash last night - not fruity hazy but very galaxy-ish 1
MR-CYN Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Drinking a Prairie-Vous Francais my Son bought me for my birthday. It's pretty tasty but it's hard to get over the 3.9 alc content. It's the thought that counts 💩💩
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I've got some delicious IPAs currently in the fridge. Lockdown is proving to be a tricky one for beer temptation.
Smokesdawg Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 My beer intake has been pretty good given the circumstances. My kids take up all of my free time and by the time i'm ready to sit down and enjoy an evening beer, i'm too tired to even go get one. But I've been really enjoying several new ones from Evergrain Brewing in Camp Hill as well as South County Brewing in York County. The newest and hottest hitter has been New Trail out of Williamsport. I have had at least 10 different brews from them over the past year and every single one has been a win. It's so nice not to go searching for good beer. Don't get me wrong, I still really like Trillium, Treehouse and Aslin, but i don't to have to plan ahead and pay an arm and a leg for this stuff Prost! 1
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 My intake has increased but it's been like a beer on like 5 nights a week. I'm trying to curb that though and only have a drink on a Friday and Saturday.
MR-CYN Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 Drank my giant ale now I'm onto a cosmic vapor from smutty one of my coworkers bought me. It's like a welfare beer night for me It's not too shabby. Pretty smooth for an iPa. Cheers fellow noobs 🍺 1
hukdonfoniks Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I've actually wanted to drink LESS since this whole thing started. Luckily I was gifted with a few Winter Reserve coffee stouts from 2SP right before this, so I've been dragging those out.
MR-CYN Posted April 21, 2020 Posted April 21, 2020 I drank so much patron Saturday night I fell on my face and had a 2 day hangover. But here I am like a boss on Tuesday night sending it. My mullet is growing in nice nowadays 🤔

Lockdown is proving to be a tricky one for beer temptation. Yeah, there's some really good craft breweries in the UK now. Looked up some of them on Untappd and they got some respect. Would like to get back over there someday, sooner than later. Had a good time in 2012 just after the Olympics ended. Did London for a week and Dublin for a few days. Didn't find many craft beer bars then, though I did find one that had a couple dozen cask beers on tap and some US craft and Belgians by the bottle. I remember it was within reasonable walking distance to Kings Cross Station, because by the time I had left that pub after taking turns buying rounds with 1 of the off duty bartenders and one of their best regulars, I was staggering drunk. Managed to make it to Kings Cross and back to my hotel on Earl's Court, though I did stop and hit up Gourmet Burger Kitchen before going back to the hotel. Holy F was I hung over the next day. And I had to get up early to make the train to Holyhead to catch the ferry to Dublin. Still knocked back 3 pints of Guinness that night at a pub in the Temple Bar area. In fact, it might have been in Temple Bar itself. 2

It was 8 years ago and I got good and pissed that day so don't recall names, though I think the cask drafts that I had were more traditional breweries than craft.

Ah OK fair enough. To be fair craft beers have taken off here in the last few years so they may not of had those I mentioned.
ToastJenkins Posted April 23, 2020 Author Posted April 23, 2020 Other Half is leading a collab release called All Together to benefit hospitality workers. Going to try and get some via 450

Going to try and get some via 450 It's a massive collab including several in the central PA market: Evergrain and Spring House are some examples. I've seen at least two or three others. They all have variations on the same theme for the label. I haven't had yet but I saw in the store.
UK_EaglesFan89 Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 I need to stop visiting this thread really... It's making me want beer. 2

BFit Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Picked up a 4 pack of these for the draft tonight. Never had em but I can't pass on whiskey related things. I should be good and drunk and switching to Busch lattes by the time the birds pick.
