I did not get the Birthday one here.  Been seeing pics on Untappd and they also have an Anniversary one out as well.  The one store had limits of 6 btls of BCBS, 1 btl each of the 3 variants and the choice of 1 btl or wither the Birthday or the Anniversary.

The Caramella Wheatwine is supposed to be really good.

No birthday or anniversary around here it seems

Im not usually a wheatwine fan but the Larceny barrel one from last year was quite good

I slept in late yesterday so I never had a shot at any of the variants. I did find some of the regular BCBS at the local bottle shop so I picked up one. Overall I think it It's fine. Pretty standard for BCBS. You can find it intermittently throughout the year nowadays so it's not that much of an occasion anymore, at least not for me.

Yeah its all about the variants now

seen lots of people claiming the kentucky fog is garbage

It seems a lot of people like #4. It sounded the most interesting to me of all the variants this year. Aside from BCBS I've only ever had the Barleywine, I think back in 2014 or 2015, and I was not impressed at all. I've had much better barleywines than the one Goose Island did that year. It's a shame that it's become a niche style over the past couple of years.

I am happy to have scored a pair of no4 variants. Hopefully the maple doesnt wreck it

Wanted an anniversary bottle but there were only a few in the area. Will plan more next year

Just got that in today, only 1cs.  Selling it as singles.  Will probably grab 2 for myself.  One to have and one to age.

I got a 2014 120 Minute IPA and a 2016 World Wide Stout at the Dogfish Head Empourium in Rehoboth Beach on Sunday.  I can do somewhat of a vertical taste test with the 120 Minute and World Wide Stouts now.

Tonewood's Down Tempo is very good.  They had a limited amount so only got 1cs.

A bit off topic but when I was a kid I used to love when my parents and uncles drank Lone Star beer so I could get the bottle caps. They had cryptogram puzzles. This is how I learned to make them and I've been doing them ever since. I even made one to mess with the flat earth guy here 😃

you sure they weren't drinking Haffenreffer Private Stock malt liquor ?

I'm going to enjoy some delicious beers this weekend from my favourite brewery in the UK. Deya.

Based on your location you should know about lone star. They used to have a museum at the brewery with a bunch of dead animals in it.

I've seen it around in my 20 years here but never touched the sh**.

Drinking a beer called "Tonin the Librarian" from Burial Brewing. Nice to see them finally put a west coast IPA out. Nothing against the hazy/NE beers but I'm a bit worn out and have been preferring either old school hoppy IPAs or other styles altogether.

They still do that

Lionshead isn’t bad beer for being what, $12 a case?

I think it's closer to 15 now. Used to get it for 10. We and my buddy got 8 cases for a 4 day mountain trip one time. Worst sheets either of us ever had.

It’s been awhile since I bought any - it’s better than Milwaukee’s best.  That’s what we drank in college 🤮

**shudder**

Never drank them, but anyone remember either Meister Brau or Ortlieb's?  I recall Meister Brau being $7.99/case for 2/12 cans and the short fat Ortlieb's bottles being $6.99/case for 4/6 packs (man, were those a pain in the ass to stack).  When I was close to being on either side of 21 I drank Bud, Coors Light, Harp and Moosehead.
