Never drank them, but anyone remember either Meister Brau or Ortlieb's?  I recall Meister Brau being $7.99/case for 2/12 cans and the short fat Ortlieb's bottles being $6.99/case for 4/6 packs (man, were those a pain in the ass to stack).  When I was close to being on either side of 21 I drank Bud, Coors Light, Harp and Moosehead.

Pretty sure Brau caused some permanent intestinal damage in college

Needed to cleanse my palate from all this meister brau talk with a cellar pull.

Popped a 2020 bcbs. Good but a tad thin. 2019 was better imho but maybe it will improve with time

Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout is going to be a year-round offering from Dogfish Head in 2021.

Drinking Deschutes The Abyss. Really good imperial stout I'm sure many are familiar with. They are putting it in 12 oz bottles now which is a much more reasonable price point than what the 22s were at in the past. I like 22s as a format but not for what Deschutes wanted to charge.

They did it this year, but only had it available out of the tasting room in DE.  One of my reps picked some up and gave me a bottle.  I shared it with a friend and we both thought it was good.  Wonder if that was the trial run and they'll be making more for distro to retail markets?

It was distributed throughout Delaware, not just available in the tasting room.  I got my hands on several 4-packs back in March.

From what I read on Dogfish Head's social media, UBAWWS was supposed to be released in March everywhere Dogfish Head is distributed.  That changed with the pandemic, and for whatever reason, it couldn't be shipped out of Delaware.  UBAWWS is Dogfish Head's 25th anniversary beer, from what I understand.  So releasing it as a year-round is strange.  Perhaps they had too much of it because of the pandemic, and need to get rid of it before it goes bad.

Didn't know that.  Only knew what my rep told me and he went straight to the brewery/tasting room in DE to get his 4pks.  Yeah, weird to make an Anny beer a year round one.  It's not going to go bad, not for a long time.  Hell, 120 Minute will age for years, so a really high ABV Stout will definitely last quite a while.  I still have some World Wide Stout from last year and when I found out they weren't making 120 Minute in 2021 I bought 8cs to last me the next 2 years.  Already sold 3.5cs of it.  Funny, as big as Dogfish is over all the years I've only met 1 brewery rep from them and that was just the one time.  To compare brewery reps from Founders, Lagunitas, New Belgium and Stone show up at least every few months to inform me about what their breweries are doing.  Well, before the pandemic they did, though my Founders and NB guys have both been in at least a couple times over the past few months.  Sam Adams also would have a rep visit regulary, though mine I haven't seen in a year, but she's been out on maternity leave so it's understandable with a newborn at home that she isn't going out.  They did have someone else stop by a couple months ago, though.  Now that they're united I think the plan was to have the reps handle both breweries, so maybe with my rep being out that's why I missed out on some info.

I'm wondering what the packaging and labeling will look like.  As you know, that original label had fake gold-leaf writing.  That showed that it was a special beer.  I would think the year-round release for 2021 will be different, signifying some difference between the 2020 and 2021 versions.

I have been aging some 120 Minute IPAs.  I just bought a 2015 bottle at the brewpub a couple weeks ago.  You can buy vintage bottles at the brewpub and tasting room for the price of when it first came out.

My store owner had a 2013 120 that he gave me from his cellar when he was cleaning it out.  I drank it either late last year or early this year and it was fine.  Naturally the hops on it had waned, but it was like a boozy Old Ale with lots of fruit and maltiness.  Rather tasty.

Yeah, wonder if they'll differentiate between the 'soft' release 2020 and the 2021 release.  Question is do they have leftover from the the 2020 batch or are they brewing a whole new batch for 2021?

If the pandemic has had one positive influence, it is the ability to get mail order beer from top notch breweries in Pennsylvania.  No more beer trading necessary....... once Treehouse starts shipping.... 😉

Started in state with Tired Hands but then it quickly went rapidly to awesome out of state brewers.  I have already ordered and receive shipments from Foam Brewing in VT and Aslin from VA.  On Saturday morning, Trillium Brewing from MA went live and my package is due here tomorrow.  I have heard that The Veil is going to start shipping to PA shortly.

3 years ago i could not conceive of the ability to order beer from these breweries and have them shipped to my house.  This is frankly awesome.

Greetings PA Friends, we're excited to have you part of our @home experience! Unique rules apply to your state:

1. You may order up to (3) 4-packs per month. (196 total ounces)

2. You can order up to (1) 4-pack of any brand (specific beer) per year.

Please be respectful of these State legal requirements. Orders that do not comply to these requirement will need to be adjusted prior to shipping. Thank you very much for your support and assistance!

Those two rules are confusing and contradictory aren't they?

Yes... the trillium rules are confusing and clearly not what any of the other sites are doing regarding PA shipping... i'm thinking it is just a typo of some kind.  I order my full 3 pack allotment this time to share with a friend and he's going to be ordering next week.  I will then try to order in February and see if they give a problem.  I would think it would be very difficult to keep track of all of those restrictions.

Foam is allowing multiple 4 packs to be purchased at multiple times per month...

Got myself a couple of TIPAs to try over the weekend to try from my favourite UK brewery Deya. Can not wait to tuck in.

Guess I'll order 3 4-packs this time, then see what happens next time I try as well.

Is Foam a weekly release, first come first serve thing?  When I went online it looks like nothing is currently available

I think they release their list on Thursdays if I recall. But it is a weekly thing. First come first serve.

Cool - I've never had from either place. I had gotten away from IPAs, especially hazy's, for a while.  Winter makes me want darker beers.  I think I'm ready to get back into them now - lots of good sounding options on both sites.

Trillium is some of the best IPAs that you can get. Make sure you get Cutting Tiles if you can.  Scaled up is also a good choice. Really you can’t go wrong. The only brewery that might be better is treehouse.

I’ve had treehouse - drive by there when traveling for work sometimes.  Fantastic beers.
