I know a lot of Brewers in the area and owners of Brewers and they were super surprised by the way they ignored me and treated me like a fool. Damn. Sorry to hear they didn't make it right. Whatever you bought, whether 4pk/s or crolwer/growler, they should have given you a refund or offered to exchange it for another beer. Most brewers will pull any infected beer out of the market as quick as they can as it can tarnish their rep. I had received a barrel aged Porter from one of the small/new self distributing local breweries and took a bottle home to try it and it just wasn't right. It didn't taste bad, but it drank more like a Belgian style Stout than a big Imperial BA Porter. So I emailed my rep and let him know that maybe they should check out different bottles to see if the batch was infected or not. Turns out some bottles were OK, but others were like mine so they took the case back and gave us a credit and pulled other cases out of the market.
July 14, 20214 yr Author came across 2018 and 2019 bottles of the Abyss from Deschutes. looking forward to trying them. never had it. also got some Windmill "Three if by Citra" which is their DIPA version of 'two if". its really good.
August 6, 20214 yr 450 North is now in NJ. Distributor got a small amount each of 5-6 beers to start.
August 6, 20214 yr Put a pre-order in for TG Morning Delight. Beer distributor is getting a keg of it end of September so I figured why not get a 12oz crowler.
August 10, 20214 yr 450 North really didn't send much to NJ to start. All the beers they sent were fruited Sours and the case amounts ranged from 9cs to 40cs. My rep was only allocated 2cs and he sent me 1cs of the Slushy XL Rainbow Sherbet Cones and it's expensive. I have to retail a 4pk for $26.99 and singles for $7.99. At the end of the week if all their reps state wide didn't sell it all then it goes on what's called "Up For Grabs" and anyone can put an order in for it, though that doesn't mean you'll get any/all of what you ordered. All their reps are supposed to submit their UFG orders at 3pm on Fridays so it's sort of first come first serve. I'm hoping in the future they send some IPAs and Pastry Stouts. Though they are known for their Slushy beers, and most of the ones I've had have been fantastic, IMO their Pastry Stouts are the best beers they do as they really nail the flavours to near perfection.
September 5, 20214 yr I just put out all the Pumpkin and Oktoberfest beers yesterday, 4 pallets worth. Took a while, but have 2 big displays of them. And still have some more coming in next week.

September 7, 20214 yr Looking forward to Saturday. Taking some friends to a local brewery that they've not been to before. In fact they've not tried a beer from this place. Can't wait to try a few delicious beers and see what they think.
September 7, 20214 yr Not a huge fan of the pumpkin beers, but I can tolerate one or two. Love Oktoberfests - big fan of the Yuengling Oktoberfest, especially for the price compared to some others.

So damn good and i am not usually a fan of malty beers Their Oktoberfest beers are usually some of the best Fest beers, whether German or domestic. We've been getting quite a selection of Other Half IPAs the past few months. Right now I'm drinking the DDH Double Mosaic Dream. Also brought home a couple that are supposed to be really good: DDH All Green Everything and DDH Daydream In Green. Those are for tomorrow night as I have a short turnaround tonight, clopening. Ick. Other Half is supposed to be opening a new brewery in Philly, in Fishtown.
September 9, 20214 yr Author Yeah i got some german bottles. so clean on the finish. Theres a reason its so highly regarded
September 16, 20214 yr Bought this stuff on a whim (just a sixer). Man its just weird... Its a mix between a pumpkin vanilla flavor and habanero peppers (hence the atomic). At first sip you get the savory sweet taste of a pumpkin ale then the heat of habanero and ghost peppers. I've never had a spicy beer before. I like spicy foods, but usually I like a cold beer with my chili or wings to cut the heat. I make a spicy pumpkin chili in the fall sometimes for eagles games, and it tastes like a beer version of that. Not sure how I feel about a beer that burns the back of my throat with every sip.
