May 5, 20205 yr Author Lots of Waldos put this year which is nice killed two six packs already. So good is their imperial stout bombers are around for less that ten bucks again
May 6, 20205 yr Heady Topper and Focal Banger arrived today, however, the original allocation I was told we'd get fell way short. From 10cs and 5cs, respectively, to 3cs and 1cs. Guess the distributor expected a bigger shipment and got much less, but they did say they'd have more in 2-3 weeks. About to crack open my first Heady in about 7.5 years.
May 6, 20205 yr Author very jealous you can get that now 450 North is doing another huge release this week - 11 cans plus a Crowler

Like loads of breweries, The Alchemist isn't kegging their beer right now with bars/restaurants shutdown and doing more canning. I think that instead of flooding their already existing market with more cans that they decided to tap into a new one, NJ. This could be a one-time temporary thing until things go back to normal. Once they start kegging again then the can supply won't be as abundant and they could either just leave NJ or only send a very minimal amount. Guess I'll wander over to 450 North's FB page to see their list of beers and drool.
May 8, 20205 yr I had a couple 90 minute dogfish heads ipas last night I found in my garage after running out of some rebel rousers I was enjoying on the deck with the dogs. I got rather crunked off those bad boys. They hit me hard with a 9 abv. I think I'm still a little buzzed.

May 8, 20205 yr 1 hour ago, UK_EaglesFan89 said: You lucky so and so. What projects do you do? I restore classic trucks, cars, and sport bikes. I just sold an 87 ZX7 I picked up in Boston for $300 bucks that hadn't run in 20 years. Came out mint. Last year i sold an 88 FZ600 and an 87 FZ750. The last one always finances the next one. I picked up an 84 RZ350 (the last of the 2 strokes to be imported in the US, a true unicorn) at an estate sale in Georgia and had it shipped up here I'm currently building right now. It hasn't been on the road since 88, all original with 6k miles, one owner. It's old and crusty from sitting. I'm breaking things left and right the parts bill is going up fast. 😂 I have a 77' Bronco that's mostly done but I always have something more I want to do with it. I have a 69' Firebird 400 that's mostly done but needs some small stuff here and there. Just did a lift for one of my Son's friends over the weekend on his Jeep. This weekend will be lockers, 4:56 diff gears, and chrome moly axles in the Son's Bronco. We do lift kits for friends, trans work, motor builds/ swaps, diffs, etc. I have a complete machine shop at my beck and call with full welding capability. Manly stuff. If you can dream it, I can build it. Anyway, I'm ready for a beer. I reckon I'm going to pick up a 6 pack of Arrogant **** and have a fire tonight. I drove the Bronco today so at least the drive home from work will be nice. Obligatory Bronco pic for @probably he hasn't seen it in a while. 👍
May 8, 20205 yr @MR-CYN any idea how much it would cost, in rough numbers, to build a .318 from stock? I've read that they can be tweaked to push some serious horses fairly easily. I'm thinking carb replacement, porting the heads, headers, maybe a new camshaft, etc. Nothing crazy, but I'd like it to have some uuumph rather than being the stock dog that it currently is... The engine is in my 1981 Imperial, which I've had since I bought it off my aunt when I was 16. The car is done up with a nice paint job, white leather interior, etc but completely lacks power. I haven't had it on the road in close to 20 years, but I've been thinking about digging it out of my dad's barn. Problem is, I've never undertaken a major auto restoration job like this (car has been garage kept so the actual body/frame side of things should be good to go nearly as-is just needs engine work and interior re-done...) so when I start reading recommendations online for what to do with the engine I get overwhelmed with information.

Online can get pretty crazy with info I know all about that. I've been reading about upgrading the RZ suspension and my head is spinning in options. It's really hard to say because it depends on how far you want to go. You could spend a grand if you're miserly and craigslsit some parts and do all the work yourself of course. Hard parts add up fast though. Doing a high end build without boring it out and doing the bottom you're at a minimum looking at porting the heads( I don't know what the charge is I do mine myself), cam, intake, ignition, headers, carb, roller rockers, distributor. If you find. TLDR version, $1500 on the cheap (non roller) $3-5k on the high side. You can do a nice top end for under $2k if you're careful and stick to a budget. Mind you, you make more power for the motor and you may need more money in the trans and rear end too. 😂 Good link to a budget friendly build https://itstillruns.com/build-300-horsepower-318-mopar-7696483.html A nice one if you have 10k-15k burning a hole in your pocket https://www.hotrod.com/articles/mopp-0409-318-engine-build/ Trunk Beer kegerator not included. Good luck. 🍺

May 13, 20205 yr I'm in GA now, and I can honestly say its craft beer is way better. Reformation and scofflaw breweries top notch
May 13, 20205 yr the distributor around the corner for me has started breaking down the craft 16oz 4 packs and putting them in a make-your-own 4 pack section for $20 or $5 a can, ive been grabbing a slushie and a $5 beer everytime i go over there. had an imperial stout brewed with peppers, vanilla and cinnamon that was really good. thinking about talking to the owner about getting a part time job there, at least until i get back to working full time
May 14, 20205 yr I was selling and trading Dogfish Head Utopias Barrel-Aged World Wide Stout, after the brewery announced that they would not be distributing it outside of the state. (I have some more, if anyone wants to buy them.) I've been trading with people from around the country, so I have some beers from Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska that I'll be having! After the South Dakota and Nebraska beers, I only need beers from 5 states to complete the US: Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Kansas.

I wonder how many states I've had beer from. Would have to think on that and figure it out. Though I can say I'm pretty sure I also haven't had any beer from the 5 states you listed and don't think I've had any from MT and SD either. I got one bottle of the Dogfish Utopia BA WWS from one of my reps. He took the Cape May ferry to DE to visit the brewery and picked up a few 4pks of it. Waiting to share it with a friend.

When was this? Was he allowed to? I'm curious mainly for the chance to venture outside of Delaware myself.

Guess he really wanted to get some of it so when he was off work he took the ferry over to DE and back. I know he had been there before since the distributor he works for only starting distributing Dogfish earlier in the year. Dogfish was with another distributor, but when they merged with Sam Adams they went with the distributor that has Sam Adams. It was a big loss for the other distributor as I think Dogfish had accounted for around 15% of their total sales. So he was there at the Dogfish Brewery/Brewpub as part of an introduction of companies working together.
May 14, 20205 yr The wife bought me a 6 pack of these. I wasn't too sure about them at first, the clove is a little strong. After a half a can I couldn't stop and they were all gone though. The ABV is spot on so who am I to argue? Hi I'm MR-CYN and I'm a serious beer drinker. 😂

May 14, 20205 yr Kinda overloaded my palate the past few months on hazy NE style IPAs, so my last few purchases have been more traditional IPAs/west coast stuff. Enjoying those as well.
