Kinda overloaded my palate the past few months on hazy NE style IPAs, so my last few purchases have been more traditional IPAs/west coast stuff.  Enjoying those as well.

Which do you prefer?

I don't really prefer one over the other - the hazy seem to be a little harder on my stomach though.

Out of all styles of beer, I really like a good amber - perfect balance of hops and malt for me.  There's a place in Victor, NY (near Rochester) called the NY Beer Project - I was up there for work last summer and my hotel was a mile away.  I went there every night for dinner - they had the best amber beer I've ever tried.

I've had New York Beer Project too; they are in Lockport, a few miles from my aunt and uncle.  I like their powdered jelly doughnut beer, among others.

Had the Ludlam DDH Waterguns along with DDH Wrestling Moves.  They make very good beers.

I've heard of Monkish, but have not had anything from them.  Heard they are really good.  That beer looks like mango-orange juice.

A bag of weed, a bag of weed, everything's better with a bag of weed.

Why's that?  I like a lot of their beers.

Just not a huge fan. They do good sours, but the people from here think they are awesome. I think the only in Wisconsin selling point makes them seem better than they are. Their brewery however is gorgeous.

Going to enjoy a few delicious (hopefully) IPAs and even a DIPA or two tonight.

I have been enjoying their fruit beers.  Serendipity is great!

I really haven't had a bad beer from them at all, and I've had 4 or 5 now.  The only thing that needs explaining is why a light, crushable beer like Spotted Cow is categorized as a saison.

Because of the way it’s brewed. Glad you enjoy their beers. Outside of their fruited sours of the 10 others I’ve had none to my taste have been worth going back.

Parabola 2020

better nose than palate. something burnt about the malt i think. the bourbon brings too much heat

One good thing about covid has been proxying. I was able to grab a barleywine from bottle logic and some vintage bourbon county from GI via proxies.

The Other Half in NY hosted the collaboration beer All Together to help support bar/restaurant workers.  Now there's another one called Social Distancing.  Just got it in today and this version is by Abomination Brewing.  It's like orange-mango-pineapple juice.  Drinks way too easy.  I am a bit concerned about Abomination's outlook.  Nice artwork on the can, but they don't seem too positive about how this pandemic ends.  Good beer, though.

Did they do two styles for social distancing? My local brewery did that one too and doesn’t look nearly as hazy as yours but their all together certainly was a hazy hop bomb. Their social distancing was good but nothing too exciting.
