December 8, 20223 yr The guy they released is a baaaaad dude. Terrorist arms dealer who conspired to kill Americans. Paul Whelan, a former marine who is also currently imprisoned in Russia, wasn't included in the deal so he's still stuck there too. The circumstances with Griner being detained were awful. That should have never happened for what she did. But this is an awful deal on the surface and may lead to more petty overseas American arrests if these are the types of deals the administration wants to make. It's not a great precedent to set.
December 8, 20223 yr He should have insisted on Whelan to be included like the Nets did with Seth Curry.

So you're saying the Biden administration made a bad move?

December 8, 20223 yr Didn't matter what the deal was. He was going to be attacked for it. Still a better deal that releasing thousands of Taliban prisoners and getting nothing for it.
December 8, 20223 yr The circumstances around Whelan's potential guilt were definitely murky, but if we're being honest, that can be left up to us to decide, not Vladimir F-stick Putin. It's a shame that he's still stuck there when he should've been included in the deal.
December 8, 20223 yr wow, Jon Robinson found a job real quick after getting fired from the Titans GM job.......

He's old news, irrelevant, not even gonna run again... but if he does, he definitely won't win the nomination... but if he does, all the not-trump-supporters won't have a choice but to vote for him again even though they really really don't like him and wished he'd just go away.

Trading a terrorist arms dealer for some moron basketball player is like the Vikings giving Jimmy Johnson a dynasty for Hershel Walker.

It was a guarantee that no matter how Griner was released, the right was going to go after it. But of course, it's still infinitely better than the purely hypothetical scenario of releasing thousands of Taliban prisoners and getting nothing for it. No one's dumb enough to do that.

He only had a few years left on his deal and it was mostly front loaded. Brittney is young and was at the beginning of her contract. Howie would have been proud of the cap management
