PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — We wait with bated breath at who the Philadelphia Eagles will host in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

That could be answered as early as Saturday night if the Seahawks upset the 49ers, or as late as Monday night if both Seattle and the Giants lose this weekend. The Eagles will face the lowest of the remaining seeds in the NFC following Super Wild Card Weekend – either the Buccaneers, Cowboys, Giants, or Seahawks.

There are pro’s and con’s to facing each team.

The Buccaneers won the NFC South with a losing record, but also have all-time great Tom Brady, who can never be counted out even at 45-years-old. He’s not the player he once was, but minus Super Bowl LII, Brady has had the Eagles' number.

The Seahawks squeaked into the playoffs as the last Wild Card team and allowed the most points per game of any of the Eagles' possible opponents. However, if they somehow upset the 13-4 San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara Saturday, that would be an impressive victory and give Seattle confidence heading into the next round. Also, even though the rosters have completely changed, the Eagles haven’t defeated Seattle since 2008. The Seahawks have a seven-game winning streak against them.

The Eagles just held off a collection of Giants backup players after rolling by the starters in December. The Eagles are more talented, but the Giants also haven’t won a postseason game since Super Bowl XLVI in 2012. An upset of the 13-4 Vikings in Minnesota would give them momentum heading into a revenge game at the Linc.

And then, there’s the Dallas Cowboys. It would not surprise many if the Cowboys beat Brady’s Bucs in Tampa. If that’s the case and the 49ers and Vikings win, it will be Dallas coming to Philadelphia for a third matchup this season. The Eagles won the first one when Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was recovering from an injury. Dallas was victorious in the second matchup when Jalen Hurts was out with a shoulder sprain.

These two teams know each other very well and it’s fair to argue Eagles fans dislike Dallas the most. There has been only one time in history when the Eagles hosted the Cowboys in the postseason: the 1980-81 NFC Championship Game at Veterans Stadium. Wilbert Montgomery had a colossal rushing touchdown and the Eagles won for a trip to Super Bowl XV. If the Cowboys come here in a couple of weeks, Lincoln Financial Field will be shaking.

I just want to avoid the Cowboys. That's the one that I really do not want us to play. And not because they worry me. We are better than them no doubt but losing to them would be the worst way to go out and end our season.

Or beating them and advancing to the SB would be that much sweeter. Cows still need to worry about TB, then SF.

Ps.... Teams are 0-15 after facing SF....

Good thing the eagles will have a BYE week after they play them to break that trend
