As always, it’s been a pleasure watching the game and talk to everyone on the message board. Until next week…

I wasn't able to watch the game (live), but I was following it closely on my tablet. Great game, I'll watch it here shortly.

Just a note that I noticed, as the final seconds ticked off...

January 21, 2018 Vikings 7 @ Eagles 38
January 21, 2023 Giants 7 @ Eagles 38

lol Trust me, I had the game recording, Merrill and Mike recording and even Bob Papa on WFAN recording. I'd have had Westwood One recording too, but I screwed up and mistakenly had the recording software set for mic instead of system audio

Its crazy that when Andy Reid got to Philly in 1999 the Eagles had been to 1 NFCCG in 32 years.

Since then in 24 years the Eagles have been to 7 and Reid to 10.

This has been one of the best organizations in football since Lurie brought the team from the "Guy From  France.”

I have a little bit of a history on their board from their most recent Super Bowls... they didn't know I was an Eagles fan (which I kept to myself for specific reasons), but if they were to ever win the Super Bowl again, I think some of them would likely be looking for a way to contact me in order to complete their 'set collection' :angel

Agreed.  What a mess over there.  So hard to follow,  fans are a reflection of their message boards 😂

Not sure if that’s an expression,  but it is now in my intoxication state. 🍻

I think I heard a stat with regard to teams getting the #1 Seed, so I'm assuming that it relates to getting to the NFCCG (or AFCCG), that we're the first team to make the #1 Seed, then do it again within 5 years with a whole new coach and QB.

I don't know if that also counts for the NFCCG too, but to do it with a new coaching staff and a brand new QB in such a short span of time, pretty damn good job of coaching and front office management.

Good Job Howie!

1/21/18 - NFC Championship Game: Eagles 38 Vikings 7 (Eagles Advanced to 3rd Super Bowl)

1/21/23 - NFC Divisional Playoffs: Eagles 31 Giants 7 (Eagles Advance to 7th NFC Championship Game)

:towel:

ironically the giants beat the vikings to be in that position lol

Best one I got to so far:

"The Eagles being a good team almost every year is proof karma

doesn't exist. These inbred Neanderthals don't deserve this team."

This team seems too unselfish for that kind of thinking. When you score 38 my guess is that’s the last thing on his mind.

Especially in the playoffs, and when the Eagles have already given him $60M guaranteed. Zero chance he was upset he didn’t get the ball enough lol

I dont think it matters who we play next week.

a) Starting with what we can control, we are too damn focused from top to bottom and it starts with sirianni, and than goes to hurts who than is so DETERMINED that it checks right back to sirianni and it regurgitates to the whole team top to bottom.

b) Whoever wins tomorrow is gonna have to make sacrifices (physically)to do it and it will have a carryover effect. Heavyweight matchup that will inevitably end both teams season short of their ultimate goal..just a matter of who survives 1 more week.

(Eagles Advance to 7th NFC Championship Game)

Actually, 8th NFCCG:

  1. 1980
  2. 2001
  3. 2002
  4. 2003
  5. 2004
  6. 2008
  7. 2017
  8. 2022

I understand the notion of wanting defense to be aggressive and spot on..but i completely trust our analytical approach and if that means playing soft on defense once we are up multiple scores i think we need to embrace that. It would be nice to get 3 and out everytime, but with that approach comes the potential for the opposing team to make a big play which is detrimental up 3 scores..why not trust what the analytical approach that gives them the best chance to win. even if that means allowing them to score at the expense of time eaten
