Posted February 5, 20232 yr I see The Eagles winning because they have the better all around roster, and its against Andy in a big game. Love the culture of winning Andy brought here, he is the GOAT of eagles head coaches, but lets face it, he does come up small in championship games. He should have had multiple Superbowl's. I can see Andy blowing timeout's, and getting pass heavy when a ball controlled offense would benefit them more. I see the Eagles losing because the Chiefs have the better QB in Mahomes. This could also be the game that Andy pushes all the right buttons and puts out a solid gameplan combatting the Eagles relentless defense and using his experience against Sirianni's inexperience in these big games.

If the Eagles win it's because Gannon and all our DL talent finds a way to 'f*****g gut these guys' despite the Chiefs having a very good OL If the Eagles win it's because the Chiefs defense plays scared of the threat of the run options. If the Eagles lose it's because Chris Jones and company find ways to break through and disrupt the Eagles out of rhythm. Let's hope things like Dickerson's elbow don't hold us back. Quarterback talent matters but all of that is set up by what the lines do.

We could loose if we are turning over the ball and it may have nothing to do if Hurts. The whole team has to show up, and show up early so we can dominate with our lines. If we do that, than we win.

A million dollar bet had no effect on the line because tens of millions have already been wagered on the game. Vegas does not care who wins. If they find themselves upside down at any point they will adjust the line accordingly to get the money going in the opposite direction. The fact it has settled at Eagles-1.5 tells us the money is being bet fairly evenly on each team. Vegas never loses. They will make several million on the Super Bowl by just getting the vigorish with no risk. The only risk they have is if these big bets come in at the end and they don’t have a chance to adjust. Some books limit bets in the last 48hrs for that reason.

The reason that I said what I said is that (IMO) this is the one element that I can see flipping things either way. If Hurts is on, everything else is good enough that we should win. But, since he cam back from injury, Hurts has not been on. He's been missing open receivers. And he's admitted that he's been playing hurt. This bye-week will, hopefully, go a very long way toward getting him right enough. He needs to get his accuracy back. If he does, our receivers are better than their secondary. Their DL has one great player, but our OL is good enough overall to win that battle. Etc. Similar story on defense. Mahomes may be a wizard and Kelce may be a truly great TE, but is that enough for them? 'Cause our secondary is better than their WRs. And while their OL may be pretty good, our DL is better. They have a couple of great players, but if Hurts can be on, the Eagles are the better overall team.

February 7, 20232 yr I'm not making any predictions, but I think for the Chiefs to win, Mahomes has to be absolutely brilliant (which he's certainly capable of, no doubt). On the other hand, the Eagles don't need a knock out MVP peformance from Hurts. Quite the contrary, the Eagles are capable of winning this game even if Hurts has just an average performance. The Eagles defense is definitely capable of keeping the Chiefs under 30 pts, but I am not sure the Chiefs can keep the Eagles under 30 pts. We might see the Eagles stick to the playoff script and run, run, run, and run all over the Chiefs. I could see the Eagles having 4 or 5 sustained scoring drives that each consume 8 minutes or more off the clock. That basically keeps Mahomes off the field and on the sidelines for more than half the game. That's a winning recipe right there. Again, no predictions. Mahomes could single handedly destroy the Eagles, but don't be surprised if the Eagles win big, and finish the Chiefs off early in the 4th QTR.

Only put up 27 against Jacksonville and 23 against the Bengals. And the Eagle defense is better than both of those teams right now IMO.

If KC still had Tyreek I’d be a little worried but the only weapon Mahomes has is Kelce. That’s it. Everyone else is a mediocre role player. I think going against AR is an advantage too. He’s great at building teams but he sucks in big games. His time management always sucks, he gets stubborn and keeps passing whether it’s working or not. His run-pass ratio always sucks. Bad at making adjustments, etc.
