Lesson: Don't be a dbag.

Ok bud

1. You can determine it either way.  If every KO was a concussion, why aren’t boxers dying of CTE at age 25?   Sure not all concussions cases are knockouts,

2. but you can be knocked out without having a concussion.  It’s less common but it does happen.

3. Boxers are KOd usually because of the jaw being compressed into a nerve, not necessarily because of the brain bouncing off the skull as happens with normal concussions.

1. False.

2. False. Again, you have it backwards there. Truth = Not all concussions result in a knockout, but ALL knockouts result in concussion, even if it's a mild one.

3. False. ALL knockouts resulting from a punch to the head are because of brain trauma, not some nerve compression in or near the jaw.

Lesson: Don't double down on bad info. Research the matter. Remember, when we find ourselves in a hole, we should stop digging.

I disagree and have done my research and like I said it’s less coming to be knocked out without a concussion but it can happen. (Picture it like passing out from a bad injury).  Maybe he was really drunk and probably nearing black out mode anyway.    but whatev.  I respect your rebuttal and not resorting to name calling like some other.  Enjoy the weekend

Ok. You too.

This is kind of what I’m trying to explain and if you watch the video Dallas got hit in the jaw more than the head.  This is where the term glass jaw comes from.

Ok? And it's still damage done to the brain its still your brain not being able to handle the impact. It says and shows it right there in your post once again.

It’s not a concussion- it’s the brain shutting down from nerve impulse overload.  it does not say concussion at all.

it's still brain trauma call it whatever you want. I don't understand what you are trying to argue. Getting knocked unconscious is not good for you no matter what you want to call it

I’m just making the point that you can’t assume he has a concussion because he got knocked out.  If you got electrocuted and passed out it wouldn’t mean you have a concussion. If you press hard enough on those nerves you can shock the brain and pass out.  It doesn’t mean it’s a concussion.

sir, please stop being a dbag and just present a copy of  your boxing license, sir. SIR!

As far as being knocked out goes, I'm still betting on the shock wave of an impact temporarily interfering with the normal function of the Thalamus.

dime to donuts says he did that to himself or got someone to rough him up and plans to  gloss over his made up story with a new  made up story for sympathy, claiming he was alone when a goolge of some  puerto rican guys jumped him.

It's called the button... Hit to jaw in right spot, lights out no concussion. Unless bonked head on way down.
