Posted February 13, 20232 yr Plenty of blame to go around. But. He went for that FG when we know FGs weren't gonna cut it. The worst offender was that 4th and 2 punt. When 99% of the time you would have gone for it. Take into account the Defense is a complete joke at this point and wasn't gonna make a stop. Or that our punter just absolutely blows. So instead of going for it we get a 30 yard punt( WTF does this guy do in practice all day?) with a huge return. Siri waited until the biggest game of his career to turn into a chicken and go against what the Eagles have done all season. It cost the eagles. Siri let the team down as much as the defense did.

I don't know about that, Siri was pretty aggressive going for it multiple times in 4th down. I blame the late FG more on time management, it was 3rd and 6 that turned into 3rd 11 with the delay of game. They then run a super conservative crossing route to gainwell well short of the first. If they avoid that delay of game they have a better shot of converting it making the 4th down another QB sneak decision, as is it was a longer 4th down conversion so they took the points. As for the punt, that was I pretty deep eagles territory and it wasn't a gimme distance on 4th down, that punt though was just horrible. I was yelling at the TV and Sipposs and my 6 year old daughter said to me, he tried his best. Sadly she wasn't wrong that's his best he's trash.
February 13, 20232 yr Popular Post KC had 1 incompletion in the second half. 0 Punts 0 Turnovers 0 Sacks 0 3rd down stops in an entire half, the defense didn’t make one single stop, and we dare blame ANYTHING on the offense who put up 35. Y’all are wild.
February 13, 20232 yr They scored 35 points. Held the ball for 36 minutes. But youre saying the offense should have played a perfect game and scored 40 pts, while not putting any responsibility on the defense.

Hell, take the defense off the field entirely and the Eagles might have had a better chance of winning because the Chiefs would've scored a lot faster, leaving the Eagles offense (the only ones who showed up to the game) more time to possess the ball.
February 13, 20232 yr Wasn’t that inside our own 30? That would have been stupid as hell to go for it
February 13, 20232 yr Defense and special teams lost this game. If anything I’d say there was some questionable offensive plays that hurt too though. Didn’t quite gets some of those run calls especially the QB draws when clearly Hurts was dropping passing dimes. Why were we running on third and long when he was dropping dimes? Some of those drives stalled over bad play calls. Seemed like all game the Eagles receivers made contested catches, but they Chiefs were wide frigging open to include Kelce of all people. Game plans were poor in this one especially on defense.
February 13, 20232 yr We all knew the coaching staff was going to cost them eventually. Just so happened to be in the biggest stage.
February 13, 20232 yr This is all on soft as Charmin Gannon and his players. i could rant at length of Gannon's shortcomings. The 2nd half was as bad a mismatch in coaching as you will see in the league. Reid just demolished Gannon and his soft D. Embarrassing effort. Couldn't do anything couldn't stop the run up the middle or contain the edge, no sack or pressures on a hobbled QB, hardly any blitzing or showing blitz and dropping back, no corner blitz, no pressure at the line making Mahomes drop his eyes and concentrate on who might be coming. Just awful coaching and playing by the D Pathetic lack of effort, intellect,, attention to detail like Slay and the others corners watching their men in motion and not just assuming they are still running forward. That is something kids in high school don't get wrong. did we have many stunts on the D line? I don't remember them. We didn't get near the QB and he was hobbled. many defenders will not be back
February 13, 20232 yr I was actually telling people I was watching the game with; we should go for a surprise onsides kick after we tied the game because we either get the ball back or give KC a short field in which they would score faster. That's how much confidence I had in the D at that point. I felt the 5-minute FG drive coming then.

Defenders in zone coverage develop the mind set that they are covering a zone which is incorrect. They are covering the MAN IN THEIR ZONE. and we didn't aggressively cover their receivers and challenge for balls, physically contest throws. Just soft wimpy d they should be ashamed

Just a really pathetic game plan by Gannon and co.
February 13, 20232 yr Author Also. Not being prepared for the awful field conditions. The chiefs weren't slipping nearly as much cause they knew about the field. Another dud from Siri.

I'll say this about the offense.... they GAVE the Chiefs 7 points on the turnover. They only scored 1 TD and 1 FG in the 2nd half. You gotta do better than that to beat the Chiefs.

That fumble was pretty flukey as well, no one even touched hurts he just dropped the ball🤷♂️ Bad luck☹️

Thats what i was thinking too and why the fumble TD didnt bother me since we would have punted there otherwise anyway. Giving them the quick TD gave us the ball back and another chance to eat up clock.

Sorry, Jalen and the offense kept us in the position to win. It’s the defense’s jobs to keep points off the board, they didn’t. It’s the defenses job to force punts and get the ball back to your offense, they didn’t. Utter failure.
February 13, 20232 yr The defense and defensive gameplan lost this game. The offense did enough to win. The DeVonta non-catch call was also terrible. But, this is on Gannon not making adjustments against a genius play caller and exceptional QB.
February 13, 20232 yr Sirianni was aggressive for most of the game but in those situations I think you would like him to stick with that. But he was playing the odds and I think that late punt was because he thought KC would look to drain clock and give us the ball back with time to go. Instead Siposs sends an ugly punt up and STs screw us with the poor tackling.

February 13, 20232 yr It wasn't even the punt that was the wrong call. It was the play call on 3rd and 2. The call should have been two straight runs (preferably one being a QB sneak).
