February 20, 20232 yr Definitely leads me to believe Jospeh isn't high on their list if they are stalling it out

February 20, 20232 yr Leonhard is known for using an array of stunts and blitz packages to aggressively attack offenses while leaving his defensive backs in man-to-man coverage. That is not to say he does not use zone coverage ever, but Leonhard uses a lot of movement and misdirection to keep offenses guessing, regardless of the coverage. One of his strengths is his adaptability. Leonhard has shown a willingness to adjust his defense each year to match the personnel, which has helped maintain Wisconsin's stout defense year in and year out, despite player turnover each season. So basically the complete opposite of gannon
February 20, 20232 yr Few years old but a good view of his coaching philosophy which sounds very similar to what Sirianni is looking for. I would be excited if he is the hire.
February 20, 20232 yr I really don’t care who the hire as DC. Just employ a Defense that can stop OR slow down a good NFL QB when necessary. Please and thanks!
February 20, 20232 yr The look on the Cardinals executive as Gannon was explaining tells me they're having buyers remorse already. I wouldn't be surprised if he's fired within 2 years.
February 20, 20232 yr Gannon trying to make it out like it was a few bad plays. Mahomes had one incompletion in 2nd half and they got 0 sacks on the day. Complete failure. Not one or two bad plays

February 21, 20232 yr Hot take: most of these guys are not going to give substantially different looks than Gannon did on the all 22s. it’s just the remaining 1-5% of plays that you should expect something savvier and more creative when the time calls for it, ie, against non Cooper Rush QBs.

Offenses in college make their way to the pros so having a guy who schemed against them makes sense.

February 22, 20232 yr Here is what I like about the process. And the more I think about it makes it very much about Sirianni. They are using these interview opportunities not just for the immediate hire but also for relationship building and long-term hire possibilities and idea sharing. That is a Sirianni MO. I think this is great. What really soured me on Reid and to some degree Pederson is I feel they become slaves to hiring internally and are almost afraid of new blood in the coaching room. They will only hire one of these guys immediately. But this is relationship building. This is how you keep your network large for future coaching hires etc.
