Another is that through his strong arm tactics, shooting protesters, etc. the Shah brought the anger of the people on himself. This led to massive strikes and protests. Ten days after the Shah left (on 'vacation' after appointing a weak prime minister, the military stepped aside and said, "This ish is all yours." to the protestors, who numbered over a million in Tehran at the time.

Some of the people of Iran did when the Shah started killing protesters. Then he got cancer, which only made him look weaker. He appointed a weak PM, and the country fell while he was off being treated. This is a problem with dictators. If you don't stay home with an iron fist, you get fisted. That you prefer the Shah, or that anyone does, is meaningless. Iran had a revolution. That ended the matter.
March 13, 20242 yr One thing I'm learning about hospice care is that yes, it can be a tremendous tool for patients at the end of their lives, and their families. On the flip side though, nursing facilities, and inconsiderate family members, can, and do, also use it to drug up inconvenient loved ones and actually hasten their demise when they're really very comfortable without medication.
