I don't think he's coming back 😕

F him

CJ should have been the Eagles 1st or 2nd FA priority, IMO.

Who says it wasn't?  They don't just sit and wait for day 1 of free agency to start their process, they know well in advance what they're going to try and do. Then they get all the multiple talks going.  If some guys sign quicker it doesn't mean they're not prioritizing CJG and just not bothering with him yet.  It means he's testing the market.

Did he sign somewhere, I see a lot of safeties being announced as signed but I haven’t seen his name yet.

He hasn't but my guess is he goes to Denver. I believe they can offer him more and by now it's obvious he's taking the highest bid.

I agree, whether its Denver or elsewhere, Eagles are not in a position to meet his salary demands - and he doesn't seem the type to be giving the home town discount.

It sounds like it's up to him. The problem with some of these younger guys that are rising, but haven't quite reached elite level is that they feel that the business side of football is "disrespect." I always worry about players that don't understand that you always have to keep proving yourself. If he re-signs with the Eagles, he'll be part of a very good secondary. But if money is the only thing that matters, he can go play for a bottom feeder with lots of cap room and fade away into obscurity.

Some teams have more money to offer, but they aren't always the team with the most to offer.

Exactly, it's a shame. With a defensive philosophy prioritizing pass rush, than bringing back Slay and Bradberry, he would be foolish to not try and work something out here.

1 tweet says 2-year and 1 says 3-year.

Eagles sign Browns CB Greedy Williams.  May mean that talks with CJ went sideways.

He's a Pinkston like string bean.  Don't see him as a ST ace.

He's a former 2nd round pick who has been a bust that they signed to a one year deal (likely extremely cheap) in hopes that he can revitalize his career and provide depth at corner. This move has nothing to do with the S position or CJGJ.

Exactly!  I was baffled with the "Eagles prioritizing older players” narrative of Joe Giglio today.  Like, no dude, it’s not that they are picking $10m for fletch over someone else it’s that they did that because Fletcher at 10m is great in comparison to the market and they value veteran leadership over paying a 4th year guy.

CJGJlmnop isn’t worth what he wants.  He’ll find that out and be humbled like slay or he won’t be here.  It’s not about the eagles slighting him.  It’s called FAIR MARKET VALUE.  Howie knows the market.  He may not hit on every draft pick but he knows how to capitalize on the open market.

Total Howie move

Either way is fine, Jurgens is ready to play RG if needed then switch to Center when Kelce retires.  But, I agree I like the O line depth and returning Seumalo as starter bring consistency.

I wouldn’t return Seumalo as the starter.  Jurgens would be my starter.  He needs to get his feet wet.  Seumalo would be depth on my roster.

You did. You questioned them & said it should've been their priority when you don't know either.

Chip wanted to trade the farm for him in that draft
