Not a bad deal, not that much guaranteed, it could be easily a two-year deal with not much dead cap during the last year.

Is it 2 or 3?

Why would he announce his own release?? This stuff confuses the crap out of me. 🙃

I would have much rather seen him gone, he's not very good, he can neither tackle nor cover worth a damn.

I really hope this had nothing to do with Brown's comments, as far as I'm concerned he needs to keep his mouth shut.

You’re the guy who said that DeVonta Smith wasn’t any better than Greg Ward, so no one really takes you seriously when it comes to player evaluations.

How much do you think I care?

He had a year left, so it's 3 total. Season 2023 - 2024 - 2025.

The Eagles and Howie keep rolling. He’s calling guys bluffs, and still collecting names even as basic fillers. Somehow got Slay and Bradbury to return. Howie is getting the job done.

Good resigning.

What interests me is whether it is in reality a 2 year or even 1 year deal. The guaranteed money is pretty much what his dead cap would have been had he been released. So it wouldn't surprise me if the Eagles were able to get out of it relatively easily next year. That's important if they take a corner early.

He damn sure had better do something, he got us in he mess by neglecting the position year after year, and you can bet the clown probably won't draft a DB this year either...I can't believe you guys praise that clown...

😂 I mean he’s been to the SB twice. You missing Chip Kelly or something? 😂

Right, and how many wins did we have the year following the 1st SB, I think it was 4.

How many wins do you expect this upcoming season? If Howie has one of his typical drafts, don't be surprised if it's a sub .500 season.

Point being, you can't sustain a winning tradition relying on FA signings, because he's horrible at drafting he has to rely on FA.  .

Expecting a lot of wins actually. If you're relying on draft picks to make an immediate impact you're probably not a contending team. I expect Howie to field another very competitive team that will challenge again for the NFC crown.

They're currently 7 mil over the cap with no defense and they haven't paid Hurts yet, good luck!!

Good luck? Are you leaving and not going to post until playoffs?

Wrong.  That was 2 seasons after the SB win.  2018: 9-7, made the playoffs, won a playoff game.  2019: 9-7, won the division, lost a playoff game.  One 4 win season then bounced back and made the playoffs again with a first year starter, then made the Super Bowl for the 2nd time in 6 years.

I have been critical of Howie's drafting as well, but if you're not going to deal in reality then come on.

I said "I think", wasn't sure, point I was making is you can't sustain winning by way of poor drafting and using FA to cover your arse

Why should I leave, because I point out player personnel issues and get attacked by all you cheerleaders, sorry, I'm not afraid of pom-poms

I was a loud and vocal critic of Howie's drafting.  The last 2 years have been improved.  They've made the playoffs 5 of the last 6 years.  The year they didn't was the year Wentz had a horrific year which led to his trade.  2 years later and they were in the Super Bowl and only lost by 3 points to a perennial contender who had already won a previous Super Bowl.

That is actually quite the example of sustained winning.

And again, I've hated on Howie's drafting over the years.  At the moment, he seems to have figured out to stick to the board, don't reach, pick positions he has more success with like linemen, pick from stronger schools and guys who have won championships.  And he's supplemented well in free agency and trades.  They have some key positions to replace and get ready to develop players to take over for older veterans.  They already have done that the last 2 years, and this draft will tell us more if he's sticking to these philosophies or not.
