They need mostly depth and future starters (preferably that can play STs). OL,DL are needs due to the FA losses and players starting to age out which in my opinion you get in the draft unless you find a reasonable prove it deal out there in FA. You can get a RB anytime in FA or trade IMO. OL, DL will cost you big in FA which is why I think the draft makes more sense. As for LBs, Safety, and CB they've done a pretty good job getting them in FA as well. LBs... after thought lol.

One big difference between the two Super Bowls is in the one game where our defense created a turnover, we won. In LVII, the game was tied with just over 5 minutes left. Not only couldn't our defense make a stop, they couldn't keep the Chiefs from using all the clock. Not a single sack, not a single turnover created, and they let a gimpy QB hobble for a critical 26 yard run. I know both teams played on the same field. But the field affected the Eagles the most. There's a stat I don't care to dig it up, so you can take my word for it or look it up.... but the (i dont remember exact numbers) Eagles defenders slipped/fell on something like 30% of snaps and KC only 10%. And of the 30% snaps they slipped, they had already beat their man like 50% of the time. Problem was adjusting the D to the field condition.

If true, that certainly changes everything. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tennessee-titans/derrick-henry-18994/ Salary cap hit is $16,367,647. Dead cap hit Tennessee eats is $10,102,941. So we'd be on the hook for $6,264,706. With how the team is built and the contracts we'll have to shell out in the future, we've got probably a 3-year window for a SB before we have to start navigating. $6.2 this year for Henry is fine, but then we'll have to re-sign him and how do we value that against the wear-and-tear he's already got on him? I hate to say it, but if there's any truth to these rumors it sounds like Henry could be a plan B option if Bijan doesn't happen. I really hope not though. As much fun as it would be to see Henry in this offense I don't think he's the missing piece to us being unstoppable.

At this point I would rather they would pick needs ( you can literally get a punter anywhere) so I think they need to use these picks to select impact players and starters. They already picked up a dime a dozen back in Penny, but the question remains is he a difference maker? If they can get their hands on someone like Jalen Carter then pull the trigger. If they feel like Robinson can come in here and become a legit 3 down weapon then make it happen. If they can use one of these picks to trade for a young LB or Safety then do it. What I don’t want to see is them use these picks to select a bunch of backup players. Our SB window is now.

Not only that the Eagles are connected to nearly every available player almost all the time so occasionally some of them have to be correct. It was pretty well known Jordan Davis topped their list last year. This year maybe more options

There is no official word from the Eagles at all in this that says the Eagles won’t do it. It’s just speculation by the author and slightly indicating he expects the Eagles to go after a back in the draft fairly high.

This year maybe more options I saw numerous mock drafts last year that had them selecting several different players to include Davis. This year the same, and the year before. The Eagles have interest in a lot of players. The draft is a fluid environment. The only player I’d say we had no doubt they were selecting was Carson Wentz.

The majority of the rumors the Eagles are connected to do not happen.

So 10.1 dead cap and 10.5 to the new team. https://overthecap.com/player/derrick-henry/4758

The field conditions definitely played a part in the outcome. Andy Reid adjusted and used that to an advantage. So I agree with you. Offensively, you always have the advantage on a slippery field because you know where you are going. If a receiver is in motion (vs man coverage) and he changes directions, the worst that can happen is he slips and the QB needs to find another target. If the defender slips, the receiver will be wide open for an easy play. The field, though, had nothing to do with this: 6 guys couldn't make a play when the coverage was good.

Proves my point even more. Why JG didn't have a spy on a mobile QB? I'll tell you why... Mahomes didn't do much running, but when the game was on the line, he did. Gannon was a huge problem. Our amazing talent on D made him look a lot better than he really was. The best (worse) I've seen was blitzing and playing 7yds off. What's that actual point?!?!? I know in JGs head it was.... oh the CBs have eyes on the QB. Yea, that only work with bad QBs that panic. An arm/talent like Mahomes eat that up. You can give a carpenter the best tools, but if they don't know how to use them.... Whatever, it's over, he's over. We will have our SB rematch Feb 2024!
