It wasn't too long ago (maybe a year), that I learned that Brad Delp (the lead singer of Boston), killed himself. As for the city, that's where my mother (and her siblings), were born. So I can't be too critical of the city... at least not from the 1930s.

Funny story, he was sharing a house with his fiancés sister and he set up spy cameras in her bedroom and bathroom. So he could get more than a feeling.

I saw them on the Third Stages tour back in the mid 80s and was genuinely shocked that his voice sounded as good live as it did on the recordings.

I never got to see them in person, but definitely grew up liking their music and I too was shocked when I learned that he'd killed himself.

A point of interest (or disinterest for those not interested), my grandmother was working as a registered nurse in the same hospital (in Boston) where/when Leonard Nimoy was born. I think she told me that she worked in the maternity ward at one point, but I can't swear to that. I could be misremembering that part.
