origin of this thread is that the wife is a journey fan so we went to see them in concert a couple years ago. i also know a guy who plays keyboard in a nepa journey tribute band.  anyway, i never really paid attention to them growing up. of course, i've heard all the radio hits through the years but that was it. the concert was actually really good.  steve perry has changed a lot though...barely recognizable.  so i recently discovered that i like a bunch of songs by a band that was big 40-ish years ago. i just now discovered them.

in conclusion...who's cryin' now, futhamuckers!  :groovy::rock:

neal schon!!!

This is Journeys best song and I will fight anyone who thinks different.

Since we’re talking hot ‘80’s jams, I’m just going to leave this right here. Please clean up after yourself.

Anyway you want it.

Neal Schon is one of the most underrated guitar players of all time.

His tone in this song is ridiculous.

It's too bad that the other members can't let go of the past for a reunion tour. I get he was an unbelievable ahole, but people change, and it probably wasn't completely his fault. I'd absolutely pay to go see that tour but, even though he does and good job sounding just like Perry, I can't get excited about going to see them with Arnell.

i had forgotten this thread existed so went back and reread. Got to the part where Hunt states he wasn't the most familiar with Journey (songs) and I read the ending line in that post as if he was saying he had just heard Who's Cryin' Now for the first time and was shocked.

Who's Cryin' Now is the most early 80s rock song that automatically triggers nostalgia for that time frame to me. any season in that time frame but muscle memory says always in a car cruising and always at night.
