We needed another swing OT and this guy has a lot of experience.  Driscoll will be gone after this year.  He'll get a solid contract offer in free agency north of 5 mil a year and we won't be able to match that for a back up so Kelly could be here for more than 1 year.

I think we should also pick up Doriell Green-Beckham so we can outsmart the NFL by getting both ends of that trade.

Who the heck is D Beckham?!?! Lol . The guy who has not played in the NFL since 2016? I would agree to a third string kicker before him.

Nah..too old. We can do better.

Come on, he was the second coming of Megatron…

What % chance are we giving him on even making the roster. Dude didn’t make the Final Cut last year and no one picked him up all season.  And I’m not aware of any lingering injury that may have cost him.

He was on Indy all year and played about 300 snaps between offense and special teams.

It’s a good pickup until he actually has to play

Maybe he wants to retire an Eagle.

We have a 50% SB win rate when bringing back 2012 Eagles draft picks. I like those odds.

Hopefully just a depth signing who won't see much playing time during the season.  He's aging, but he is a vet of Stout U

Wishful thinking. This is his 3rd team in three years. I suspect that he is here to retire as an Eagle, or at best warm the bench until someone else emerges.

I thought they cut him but it looks like you’re right

Can Hank Fraley be far behind?

We still need help at WR ... maybe a call to Marvin McNutt (same draft class as Kelly ... when put like that ... :o ).

However, also from that draft class ... Fletcher Cox.  For some reason McNutt seems much longer ago.

should bring him in as an intern

I'm wondering if the team would use him at RG if Jurgens or Steen don't pan out

not a good signing to me as he is old and on the down side and I would rather keep a younger guard and under Stoudland's tutorage !

According to a report I saw on YouTube, he's already ahead of Driscoll on the depth chart at RT.

So now I heard another report that he is #2 on the depth chart at LT.

He probably won't even make the team

They just double downed on Kelly green

The Eagles had a lot of good fortune when it came to injuries last season, but they should be somewhat concerned with their depth on this roster. There already are moving Kelly inside to guard and Steen outside, and it’s not because of trying to be versatile. It’s because Steen has struggled mightily in camp. Their backup center right now is making a lot of bad snaps. If the Eagles can’t stay healthy this year it could lead to some big problems. Last year the offensive line had much more depth.

Source?

Steen is being groomed to replace Driscoll --- a guy that can fill in anywhere (except Center). The plan was always to get him work in different spots. Sure, if he was ahead of Jurgens at G, he'd start, but he has a lot of growing to do to be where Jurgens is today. Not worried about backup Center. Jurgens is that guy. Someone else will fill in at RG if that happens. It just so happens that Josh Sills has been cleared and is back on our active roster. He impressed last offseason. Opeta was on the team last year and probably won't make this roster. Kelly likely will and brings both experience and versatility for cheap.

Oh, by the way ... we have a pretty good O-line coach.
