I rented this last night On Demand... It's the best war movie of the past 20 years and is up there with Band of Brothers/Saving Private Ryan/Platoon in my book. 

 

Take the good parts of Platoon, Jarhead and Black Hawk Down and that's what this movie is like.

Finally watched last night - fantastic.  I actually felt angry that those guys had to defend such an indefensible location - like who makes these decisions?  

I watched the documentary of the stories behind congressional medal of honor winners. This looks like the movie version of the one where the government screwed the soldiers by putting these guys in a sitting duck base. Could not ask for a worse position in a war, but par for the course for careerist politicians at the time.

Courage was like a pre-requisite to even step foot on that base. Looking forward to seeing it.

Trailer wasn't overly impressive but if its anywhere near as good as the movies you say I'm all in.  On my list.

It's On Demand - It's like $8 to rent, as it is s first run movie. 

I'm guessing it will still be a couple months until it hits HBO, etc.
