HF refs just looking for anything to give Bucs life

It certainly feels like that. Someone high up took Tampa with the 5.5 points.

Run sets up the pass. Repeat: run sets up the pass

Curious if Hurts has been struggling because he’s got a new QB coach

Offense has pieces, but the QB is the biggest issue again.

I don't think Hurts is the biggest issue.  Passing game is a combination of play-calling / game planning / QB read / WR read / Pass protection.  The breakdowns are across the board in all of those areas.  Hurts needs to play better for sure I just don't thiink QB is the biggest issue.  Personally I think OC / Coaching is the biggest issue because when the disfunction is that spread out to me it has to go at the feet of coaches.

Run the ball. Just grind out the second half by grinding out long drives.

Coaching is the weakest link

We should have went outside the org for the O-coordinator

Game design and playcalls are just Fed

That would have annoyed Hurts and Siri didn't want that.

Said it near halftime. Not sure if that’s the problem though.

Weird this is coming out now, I'm suprised this wasn't brought up earlier

Why did Sirianni call that time out with 9 secs left? Didn’t seem like a good move once they got the first. Why even run a play with Hurts running on that play? Why not just run it up the middle? Either way call that time out with 3 seconds left and then kick the FG.

Clearly they wanted a shot at the endzone, which I'm ok with. I'm not ok with the decision to throw short. Even if AJ catches it, he's short and time runs out. Throw it into, or out of the endzone. He got away with one there.

oc needs to figure this red zone offense out.

I mean I don't get it. The team is pretty much the same as last year sans Seumalo and Sanders. Its like the O is stuck in second gear three weeks in a row. Not sure what's wrong with Hurts. Hes playing like he did his first year with Steichen. I guess he will play better next year with Johnson 🙂

I felt like there was something wrong with Hurts. He seems slower and unsure of himself. Almost like he did something in the off-season and has fear in him.

Defense grade first half: B+

Offense grade first half: C

D line will continue to give Maypo fits in second half....offense needs to simplify and just run the damn ball til it opens up the pass game.

Not a great start to this game but how many times did we see this last year with cringeworthy moments? If you all remember, it was quite a bit and we ended up doing just enough to win. Looks like that is the tale of this game as well. Please remember we lost a significant amount of our defense in the off season and we have new coordinators. Still a need for LB and CB as far as I can see but we all know that since Jim Johnson passed, the defensive philosophy has been "bend but dont break" I still hate it but it is what it is.....

Note to ESPN:I am not at all interested in the rams and bengals game so can we PLEASE stop with the split screen???

Thank you,

Signed

Every frickin body

Agreed, if I wanted to watch 2 games at once I would have a second TV set up. How about just giving us the game we tuned in to watch?!

For as much as they want to throw a bomb every play, they really should run it to get into second and short situations. Then they can go deep and still have the option to run it on third down.

Hurts was so busy with his endorsements and fame, that he forgot how to play football. He sucks this year.

The play calling has been bad, but again, play calling isn't making him fail to go through progressions, miss open players, get scared in the pocket, etc.

Everyone was so sold on him being the second best QB in football, but once again he's reverted to what he's been his entire NFL career aside from last season.

Now he either needs to get his head out of his ass or we need to accept that we have mobile Dak behind center.

yup, TB is not built to come from behind

just pound the rock with Swifty to start the 3rd and wear their defense down

Yeah. 100%.  He threw 6 picks in 15 games last season. Thrown 3 in 2.5 games.

What's the count... about 2-3 plays where Hurts and the receivers aren't on the same page? Including the pick?

He looks indecisive in his throws and slow in his runs. All that money in his fanny pack must be weighing him down.

I HATE when they go to split screen with ABC/ESPN  The Inquirer said that the game is on Youtube (with the NFL Sunday ticket) but I'm not seeing it.

Run the ball. It’s going to be sloppy with the rain. I trust our run game far more than the Bucs run game.

QB coach is the OC so I’d hope he’s still coaching him.

i surely thought he’d make huge strides this season, so far I’m disappointed

2 that I'm aware of, this hasn't been an issue with Jalen in the past, something in the game design ad playcallilng is way, way off
