Clearly they wanted a shot at the endzone, which I'm ok with. I'm not ok with the decision to throw short. Even if AJ catches it, he's short and time runs out. Throw it into, or out of the endzone. He got away with one there.

Why run any route that isn’t going into the end zone there especially with Brown? Play calling has me questioning some stuff. I don’t like the call, because it’s obvious the Bucs are not giving up the end zone. The play that took away the time out (probably a make up for missing the Lane play) kind of killed any option for the end zone. Just take the three.

He looks indecisive in his throws and slow in his runs. All that money in his fanny pack must be weighing him down.

He sure doesn’t look like the same qb.

why does he seem so much slower this year?  honest question

He can give some to me. It'll lighten the load and help him play better.

I'm willing to take one for the team here.

One things for certain at this point.
Jalen Carter is an effing BEAST!

Are the receivers struggling with identifying the need to runs hot route when the D blitzes or is it that playcalling not accounting for the constant blitzing tonight. They just seem off on offense this year. Too many broken plays to sustain long drives.

Carter is a freaking animal.  Thank goodness we got him.  Also, Jobe is the WORST.  I'd rather have Ricks or Ringo in there, they would at least have a chance.

QB coach is the OC so I’d hope he’s still coaching him.

Didn’t they get a new QB coach because Johnson was promoted?

playing scared maybe or maybe their trying to make him a pocket QB like McNabb

Of course but I’d hope the new qb coach isn’t breaking him if his old qb coach is still there.

Ok coach play smart. Don’t put this in Jalens hands with the sloppy weather.

I HATE when they go to split screen with ABC/ESPN  The Inquirer said that the game is on Youtube (with the NFL Sunday ticket) but I'm not seeing it.

12 year old multitaskers running ESPN can't focus on one game at a time

No $hit Buck 🙄

Howie needs to bring in an offensive consultant to look over things and see if johnson is competent

Hurts was so busy with his endorsements and fame, that he forgot how to play football. He sucks this year.

He has had a busy offseason. He also went back to school and got a degree. His agent was negotiating his contract, but I’m sure it was on his mind. He’s also had a lot of endorsements, and interviews. He’s been way more busy than any other point in his career. It could be all that or it could be he’s still knocking off some preseason rust. He’s also dealing with yet another change at his OC.

What's the count... about 2-3 plays where Hurts and the receivers aren't on the same page? Including the pick?

Yup, that's on the OC.

I was hopeful for Brian Johnson, as a Utah fan he was a great QB for them then wittingham later made him OC and he failed and cisch Whit said he probably made him OC too soon.

I think maybe we're seeing that again, might be too early for Brian Johnson as OC or maybe he just sucks.

We'll see it's a long season.

Touchback

that's not the start we wanted there

Ringo was awful in the preaseason against scrubs so he wouldn’t be much better. I think you gotta see what Ricks can do

Possibly teaching him just differently

Apparently Hurts has the flu.

Seems like a nice excuse but it would explain the plodding nature of his game tonight

Why are you throwing the ball still?

Agreed. Hurts just not sharp and passing game lacks rhythm and consistency.

Agreed. He’s still making nice plays at times but it isn’t consistent at all.

Still passing
