You’ve never seen Return of the Jedi?  We’re you raised Amish?

I didnt see any of them until college. I've also never seen Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter or Game of Thrones. We tried to watch Harry Potter with our kids but I gave up after about 30 min. I think the wife and I got about 10 minutes in to one of the season openers of Game of Thrones before throwing in the towel on that too.

  • I'm here, thanks VaBeach. I appreciate all the EMB members that support us in these days, I does matter. The members that support the other side… I'm speechless.

  • Propaganda? Or hard truths terrorist sympathizers don't want to hear?

What kinds of movies and shows do you normally enjoy watching?

Ok then I've never seen what you you would refer to as 1-3. Only 4, 5, 7, and half of 9.

No Return of the Jedi????

Confirmed. WGB is a communist.

All different types. Movies more so than TV shows. Hard to do a top 10 off the top of my head, but movies like The Godfather, Shawshank, Rocky, Pan's Labyrinth, Serenity, The Professional, Life is Beautiful, Casino, Predator, Terminator, etc

Mostly older stuff then?

F me, is that considered old stuff now? I guess you're right

Hmm... More recently, I've got movies like Zero Dark Thirty, Life of Pi, The Big Short, Blood Diamond, Catch Me If You Can, Alita, Book of Eli, Creed, First Man, The Martian

I've been watching and enjoying a lot of movies lately where what's going on is unclear. Mother!, Asteroid City, and Beau is Afraid are examples and all three were pretty good IMO.

I've heard of mother, but not the other two. I enjoy those movies to a certain extent (total recall, shutter island, etc) but generally prefer less-open ended narratives with more closure.

Yeah, that what I normally like. Lately I've enjoyed trying to figure out either what's going on, or what metaphors and/or whatnot the filmmaker is going for.

7 was good (I don’t care if it was basically a remake of 4, it was still really strong) and could’ve started a solid trilogy but then 8 came along a F’d it all up.

Nah 7 was total rubbish

I really enjoyed Game of Thrones until the last season, which was kind of a dud.

Yeah. And now there's a show I've been waiting for, The Three Body Problem, that's coming out next month and they adapted that as well. Hoping they don't F this one up at the end.

Kind of?

It was an abomination.

We are (slowly) doing a rewatch.  First time around I didn't mind it as much as the rest, but curious to see if I hate it the second time around.

Oh 8 and 9 were garbage truck juice

you'll still find that it was rushed with a storyline moving along as smoothly as martin's bowel movements after a weekend at comic con.

You’d probably like Denis Villeneuve’s films. Prisoners, Blade Runner (new one), Arrival, Dune (on Netflix until the 29th), Dune 2 which comes out this Friday.

The only agreement Israel should agree to is Hamas Unconditional Surrender. Let's not forget who rejected the cease fire.
