So continuing a war is preventing a war? Sounds like inconsistent logic to me.

We already told him no, he invaded Ukraine anyway.   The only logical next step is a direct conflict.

I don't see how engaging in a neverending proxy war makes a broader war less likely.  I actually think it's the opposite.

Do you see an outcome where Ukraine wins this conflict?

And what do you mean we "have to show him we mean it?".

None of this has strengthened the US at all.

Yes. Ukraine must prevail. Keeping Putin bogged down in Ukraine prevents his empire-building beyond. US, NATO, and the West are stronger by not acquiescing to Putin.

I pretty much disagree with all of this but we're in the Israel thread, so I'll just wait until someone gives enough of a ish to bump the Ukraine thread.

You do because you are subservient to an authoritarian dictator.

Yep, entire worldview is dictated by what the tv says at any given moment. Fascinating to watch, really.

Isn't your entire world view shaped by Benny on Twitter and Trump's poop tweets on his failing social media platform?

Isn't that something on which we can all accord?

How so?  I guess you're ok with high inflation, open borders and war on the horizon when we had low inflation, a sound economy, a secure border and peace under Trump.  I'll gladly take that with bad rhetoric and mean tweets over what we have today.

Yes we all know you are ignorant and want to be told want to think…

Says the man who thinks inflation is not high, that the borders are secure, and that we are not in a war footing.  You need to continue watching Morning Joe.

you're a goddamn fool if you think Trump had anything to do with a "sound economy", low inflation, or "peace".

You a damn fool if you don't think a president should not be judged by the state of the economy, national security and foreign affairs while he was in office.

I guess Biden was just unlucky.  Yah, that's the ticket . . .

Every economic metric is up since Biden came into office.

I challenged one of the trumpbots who kept queefing about the poor economy to pick a metric for us to track over the next 6 months and I haven't heard a peep since then. Funny how that works.

Except i said none of those things. They are merely your infantile strawmen

Frankly Biden's policies have had very little effect on the economy or inflation.

The Covid bill he passed before 30 days in office is probably the worst thing he's done. Likely pushed inflation up a bit but it was going to be an issue regardless with supply chain issues and how much printed cash the poors were flush with between late Trump and early Biden.

Biden has his issues, but he's been right on Ukraine, got out of Afghanistan, and passed Chips and Infrastructure. He's actually accomplished a lot more policy wise than Trump did (thank Bob).

Any competent Republican would look strong against him, but he's going up against a feckless dictator wannabe who's convinced the mouth breathers that he gives a crap about them AND that he's "the only one" who can fix things.

Biden's mediocre, but if he keeps Trump from squandering the nations future with his short term BS authoritarian way of thinking then he's done his job.

He's a bridge to something normal.

Hopefully.

Inflation, budget deficits and the national debt at the top of the list

Yeah, toast is a big Biden guy 🤣

You're gonna pretend that Biden is up to some long term, yet-undefined strategy in any of his conflicts?

Sorry, that's not consistent with reality.

It's amazing how TDS has turned liberals into neocon forever-war advocates.

What is Bidens long term goal in Ukraine?  He has none.

What is his long term goal in Israel?  He's literally giving one side aid and the other side bombs.

Russia is moving all over Africa and we're losing influence there and Biden has no plan at all, total inaction

Literally all over the world there are obvious signs that Biden has absolutely no foresight yet you're living in delightful ignorance

You are a f'ing riot sir.  Russia moves all over lost cause middle Africa; "WHEREZZ BIDEN???!!".  Biden stops Russia in its tracks in EUROPE; "WHYZ HE DO THATS ITS NOT MAKES US SAFERZ"

Scream if they stick it in deep, Cry if they take it out, amiright buddy?

He has been right on ukraine but pretty much wrong on everything else. The covid bill was just the start of the classic democrat welfare state. Student debt being another example. Immigration. Its all pro inflation because it just subsidies with no ROI

i think trump is a moron and unfit to lead, lets be clear. The gop has been utterly spineless through this and deserves every L they have taken and will continue to take.

Well, I’d say directly bombing and killing aid workers is pretty good evidence they were targeted.  World Central Kitchen is feeding people though so they must be destroyed.
