Nobody is trying to downplay the tremendous sacrifices of allied soldiers during WWII - but if you were a Jew in Europe during the war years, you were more likely than not going down.  The focus was on defeating Germany - not on saving the lives of Jewish and other civilian prisoners and victims of the Natsies.  Case in point - the allies had intelligence about Auschwitz and other camps.  They could have bombed the rail tracks.  The could have bombed the camps.  But the decision was made not to do so.  And FWIW, this is not a position limited to Likud and Bibi.  You will find little daylight between the right and left in the Israeli political spectrum on this.  Golda Meir, Shimon Peres and David Ben-Gurion were all members of the Labour party or its predecessor and said similar things.

The allies lost 50M people stopping the march of your ideological brethren and the allied soldiers liberated the Jews in the process.  Whether it was the reason they went to war is irrelevant.
