Dude, you've ignored as many if not more posts directed to you than anyone else here and you're crying cognitive dissonance?   JFC

Lol, I've replied to just about every counterpoint made here on more than one occasion. I have other things I'd much rather be spending my time on than wasting hours here individually replying to every post ad-nauseum when they're all basically saying one of three things on repeat. If there's a general point I missed, then raise it again. I'll check in at times, but I'm not going live in this thread or forum.

  • I'm here, thanks VaBeach. I appreciate all the EMB members that support us in these days, I does matter. The members that support the other side… I'm speechless.

  • Propaganda? Or hard truths terrorist sympathizers don't want to hear?

What are those three?

Gotcha.  So when you brush off\ignore POVs that are contrary to yours, it's because you're busy.  My mistake

What specifc point did I ignore? I'm about to be driving soon to an appointment, so don't get all indignant if I don't have an immediate response.

We're really just going round and round at this point. I know you all love that, but it's tiring and a waste of time, especially when the weather's nice.

You’ve not responded to several posts I’ve made. Your general position is not the logical one. You have valid points to add to the discussion but yours is a losing position. Take the L and we can end it. Otherwise, summarize the three points you speak of and then counter them so we can continue.

Immediate one that comes to mind is when you tried to claim that the sect of aholes that want to wipe Gaza off the map was large and thats why Netanyahu is in power.  I showed stats that counter that since the large majority want him gone.

Who knows, maybe you missed it and I should give you the benefit of the doubt.  But I did provide statistics that show that Hamas' actions on Oct 7 are widely supported while the average Israeli citizen does not support Netanyahu.

Edit: Furthermore, this is a strawman:

Quote

First it's "Only one side wants to wipe the other off the map."

I don't recall ANYONE stating that here.

That's true. I do not equate a majority of Israelis with their current government, just as I do not equate a majority of Palestinians with Hamas.

I do recall that and remember thinking at the time that it was interesting but also that the article is 6 months old and I'm wondering how reliable their polling is. I did mention something in there about a lot of Palestinians believing Hamas saying they launched the attack to prevent desecration of a shrine or something. It's preposterous, but it does sort of fall in line with how Israelis have attacked mosques and graveyards. I think it's hard for Palestinians to get good information when they've been sequestered like this and their access to fair reporting is severely limited. I think they're more or less captives in both mind and body. People like to bring up Hamas being elected, but that was almost 20 years ago, and it wasn't a simple majority from what I recall. It's complicated. It's also natural to wonder about voter intimidation in these cases. But that poll is interesting, for sure.

This has been said in some form on here muliple times. It was basically in response to people here frequently saying things like "only one side says 'from the river to the sea' and generally proclaiming that the Arab desire to for control and removal of the Jewish population is not the same as what Jews want. Ultimately, each side seems to focus on the extremes to paint with broad strokes, which is not isolated to this issue.

G2g.

i must have missed all of the protests and rallies in israel over the years with hundreds of thousands of people chanting death to islam in unison.

Good deal.  Reading your position I thought you were implying that the majority of Israelis are falling in line with the current govt.

I wasn't paying attention to the date but I'll see if there is something more recent.  However given the circumstances, it's unlikely.

As for the elections, it wasn't a simple majority, but that's not to be expected given that there were something like 6 or 7 parties running.  As for the point of it being 20 years, wasn't it something crazy like 10 years between the previous two elections?  I'll have to look again.

I'll have to disagree there.  Barring the sloth's of the forum, who I tend to ignore\skip past their posts, the people who are condemning Hamas view them as the aggressors in this and juxtapose them to the Israelis who have been under constant (albeit much more minor compared to 10/7) attacks from Hamas, but have been hamstrung from any meaningful retaliation.  The average Israeli  does not want to see Palestinians wiped off the face of the earth, contrary to the useful idiots here who were crying "genocide" almost from the jump.  However, and this was discussed heavily early on, many do not see the average Palestinian innocent in this because of their general support for Hamas.  And given Hamas's literal position of removing Israel off the map (read: actual genocide), comparatively it is much more one sided.  But no one is claiming that it is totally one sided and I feel most that are backing Israel's actions recognize the shades of gray here.

Ok, drop your boxers, time to touch tips.

The cognitive dissonance is so strong here. First it's "Only one side wants to wipe the other off the map." Then, when shown evidence to the contrary, it's "Yeah, well, there are aholes everywhere."

Wait for it...

there is no comparison.  Showcasing a group of ahole regular people with no power on one side and trying to equate that to the actual government and military organization on the other side is just ridiculous.   Using that same logic, we can point to a group of white nationalist aholes and then claim that all white americans want to rid the US of immigrants and Jews.  Or point to a group of ahole college students chanting intifada and then claim that all left leaning Americans want to get rid of all the Jews.   Just stop.

Apparently, if you don't think that Israel and Hamas are equally bad, then that makes you an Israel propogandist.
