Im sorry, but it shouldnt have taken six weeks for our OC to figure out that Swift is a good receiving weapon. Or four weeks to remember we have a great TE. There is something seriously wrong on the offensive side of the ball and i dunno if Siriani is gonna do anything to fix it.

They abandoned the run before Kane went out which is what I'm getting at.

They wanted to exploit those corners and go up big. mission failed

So you are saying that Lane Johnson is the most valuable player on the roster?

Don't you think it is on the QB to realize that and maybe watch his right side and get the ball out quicker?

The eagles record with and without lane since he's been here would suggest that he is in fact one of the eagles most valuable players on offense.

He's likely part of the problem

Should have saved that play for the redzone

Yup I was thinking the same thing.

I’m saying that pass rush has a negative effect on every quarterback especially when that rush is getting home. Some of those rushes were almost instant. The Jets didn’t even have to blitz as much once they saw Driscoll couldn’t block his man one on one. Do you realize that pressure impacts quarterback play? Do you realize the Eagles have a losing record in games missed by Lane Johnson?

Siri is part of the problem. The fish rots from the head down. He needs to right the ship and to get himself right as well. It’s his offensive, his OC, and his players.

As I already stated.

Guess which game the Jets gave up the least points this year?

Also, guess which game the Jets played without their top 3 corners?

Guess which RT couldn’t block his guy one on one all game. Guess which HC failed to realize that all game.

A lot will depend on these injuries. How bad are some of these guys hurt. I can’t help but feel if this game were at a different time against a different team Carter and Slay probably play. How bad is Lane, because that’s a major loss.

Yeah perhaps, although the defence balled out most of the game and held the Jets to 12 points, despite 3 turnovers from the O. (I'm not holding the last TD / INT in that assessment of the D because there was a strategic decision to let Hall walk in) Maybe Slay and Carter make a difference but the key loss was Lane.

Our offence rhythm, Jalen's confidence and decision-making all seemed to go with that injury as well. Hurts actually had a good first half. The only thing that stopped us in 1H were catchers catching the ball, getting popped and the ball coming out which weren't on him. 2nd half Hurts had happy feet, didn't have trust in the right side of the OL given he was consistently pressured and made some horrible decisions.

Receivers dropping open passes. Driscoll missing blocks on the run and pass all game. Hurts having just a horrible passing game. Where were the slant routes? Why were we still trying the bombs away passes after it was clear Driscoll couldn’t hold his block? Why did it take so long for them to realize Driscoll needed help? Why did they stop helping him? This was a game they were way too sloppy with the football. You don’t give up four turnovers and win. That’s a lack of focus. That’s a coaching issue.

The Eagles we’re right to hold out Carter and those guys. I’m just stating under different circumstances they probably play, and they probably would’ve only been hurt worse in this one. The injuries seemed non stop. Still don’t even know how bad the injury was to Blankenship.

It was concerning to see hurts look so defeated on the sideline after the pick

So the coach has to tell the QB the RT can't block??

The fact that he was getting hit and getting sacked didn't clue him in??

Would it be impolite to point out Hurts was sacked twice and hit 4 times, but the MILF hunter was sacked 5 times and hit 10 times??

https://www.espn.com/nfl/boxscore/_/gameId/401547480

There was no RT after Lane went down. Jalen’s play suffered greatly afterwards and I don’t know if you were watching, but the Jets offense didn’t do much either. Just like last week against the Rams didn’t do anything in the second half because the pass rush started getting to Stafford. Pass rush matters. So does drooped passes. So does a lack of a run game. So does poor QB play. So does poor play calling. You’re starting to seem like one of those dopes from the past who ran away from this site. Soon as Jalen plays his worst game some stranger shows up. I wonder why?

It was concerning that he threw that pass.

Yeah would have hoped to see more of a fight but we came out and ran four dud plays... part of that is play calling and part of its execution

Is there any tally on the amount of guys who were injured in this one? I lost track.

Well at least these teams coming up are not unbeatable. bills look worse than the Eagles

Are Josh Allen and the Bills currently trying to give us their best impression of the Eagles and Hurts in the 2H?

Also the shine is starting to come off Purdy a bit

Not to mention mahomes and Burrow, some bad QB play this year

Just pointing out the obvious.  Shouldn't a team with a clear advantage at every position dominate a defense missing its top 3 corners?

The Eagles were down every starter in the secondary but one, and the also lost backups to backups. Did you notice the Jets passing game get better as the game moved on or worse?

May be a hot take but I think hurts played better than the stats indicate.

One INT on a weird deflection off goedert that popped right up into the defenders hand, weird play.

Then the 2nd Interception driscoll gets abused the DE hits hurts arm causing off target wobbly pass

His third Int was mind bogglingly horrendously stupid. Not sure what the eff he was thinking.

Up to that point he had made some plays and the negative plays were more bad luck including some uncharacteristic drops by Smitty

Other than that really bad throw I thought he was one of the guys that showed up.

This is a question that a reporter needs to ask Brian Johnson for all of us.

Do you even know who the Eagles had in the secondary other than Bradbury in the 4th quarter?

If Devonta caught even one of those drops we could be talking about a totally different outcome....
