So exposing a defense playing their 4th and 5th corners is hard because you lose 1 offensive lineman?

Did you actually watch the game or did you just decide to make another ID to come and trash Hurts?

And right after he said this, I pointed out the Eagles defense gave up 9 yards on 11 plays in the 4th quarter.

You may be concussed, time for the medical tent

Agreed....I agree with you.....I think people here are really all in their feelings right now....

I think some are just surfacing because at last they have their chance to bash Jalen again. The Eagles lost this one and there’s a lot of blame to go around mostly to offensive players, coaches, and the HC. Despite all the injuries the defense held tough. Ultimately this is a game of weeks. If they blow out the Dolphins at home everything will be well again… knowing this fan base some people will still find something to complain about. 😂

49ers lost to the Browns. Bills currently losing to the Giants. Chiefs struggled and barely beat the lowly Broncos. Bengals struggled and barely beat the Seahawks (Burrow had a horrible game).

Some perspective.

I agree some perspective but this team is yet to really play a good full game. They have played well in stints but they’ve also struggled a lot. Todays performance wasn’t a complete surprise, the result was.

I am not sure how 11 plays for 9 yards is getting worse.

Do you understand what I am asking in this quote or are you so blinded by your hate for Hurts that you don’t care?

I will say option number 2

Irrelevant.  The Jets offense had 4 possession's in the 4th quarter.

11 plays for 9 yards.

The Eagles D gave the O chance after chance to go and seal the game and they kept blowing it.

The loss in the SB hurts so much more seeing that this team is a shell of last year's

The team is 90% the same players as last year with a good draft on top of it in the offseason.  We have taken a massive downgrade in coaching/playcalling and that's the difference.

Explain what you are asking.

I was pointing out the Jets started the game without their top 3 corners.

Explain how the Eagles losing players during the game, and then giving up 9 plays for 11 yards in the 4th quarter is relevant.

I’ll try to make it simple. The Jets struggled in the second half because the Eagles pass rush made it difficult for them despite who was in the Eagles secondary. The Eagles offense struggled, when Lane went down because they had a turnstile at right tackle. In short the pass rush for the Jets disrupted the Eagles passing game just like the Eagles defense did to the Jets. Again if you weren’t so focused on blaming Jalen you would realize that.

Well, that sucked. Sheeeety game all around. Forget about it and move on to the next game.

All the way to the nfccg. That cardinals loss cut me deep

Yep that was the most painful NFCCG loss to me.  Reid did his usual horrible playcalling, Jim Johnson didn't call his best game due to being sick and a few months from passing away, Dawk's last year/not getting re-signed, missing out on a PA Super Bowl, etc.

Every season there's a game or two like this where everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and we still barely lost which is miraculous and maybe a testament to how bad the Jets are.

From the horrible offensive game plan and play calling, two unlucky fluke turnovers, players dropping like flies all game, receivers uncharacteristically dropping easy passes, Elliott missing a chip shot FG, Driscoll crapping the bed, Hurts throwing a terrible pick at the end...it's like everybody decided to have a horrible game all at the same time.  Against a good team that would have been a 30+ point blowout.

The most concerning takeaways though, being:  1.  Our offensive coordinator is an idiot, and 2.  How serious are all the injuries??

QC is already banned.

I just got here. I had nothing to do with it. I just looked up his profile to see when he joined.

A positive out of this game is the play of the D, particularly in the 2nd half. They're down a number of players due to injuries, the majority in the secondary, and they held up pretty well and were on track to give up just 3 points before the interception and the walk in TD. They also pitched a shutout in the 2nd half vs the Rams last week. It's easy to crap on Desai but the run D has been legit and they're making some good adjustments

They HAVE to draft a tackle in the first round next year, period.

Last time they did it failed miserably

Dillard actually wasn't that bad, Mailata was just better and Dillard couldn't play RT, at LT he was fine, not an all pro Mailata was just better.

He actually played really well last year as a back up and has played well enough in Tennessee.

Eagles need another tackle sooner than later as Johnson is going to be retiring  sooner than later according to him.

The kid from BYU who is Penei Sewells cousin and a first round prospect looks pretty good.

Looking back at it having had a few hours to settle down, the offense had a collective stinker, Second half Hurts played his worst half of football in a year and a half, Smitty put down a couple of balls he usually catches in his sleep, Brown gives up on a deep post and can't catch a ball thrown perfectly to where he was supposed to be and Swift coughs one up, the loss of Johnson absolutely killed the O Line, and that is a BIG concern going forward.

But the offense really needs to evolve, at the moment we have 3 passing concepts, the 45 yard bomb, the slow screen and the 8 yard pass to a guy stood still in a hole in the zone. For god's sake run slants designed to hit a running receiver over the middle every once in a while. The last couple of weeks we've been constantly trying to run plays that take 3 or 4 seconds to develop, do we not have any quick passing plays to keep a secondary off balance?

Where was the run game this week, Driscoll is a disaster in pass and run protection, while Opeta looked quite good at guard, but we gave up running up the middle early and never got it going, constantly trying to bounce around an edge that Driscoll couldn't set if his life depended on it.

They need to get their crap together pretty quickly.

From what I've read he hasn't they were talking about benching him because he was that bad

For what it's worth, I read a comment on another board by a non-fan, that Hurts and Brown were beyond impressive, and that it was just a tough loss.

Well this loss certainly raises the stakes and reduces the slack we had built up for our upcoming brutal stretch.

We need to pull out at least a few wins in the games against Dolphins, Chiefs, 49ers, Bills and Cowboys. No reason we can’t go .500 or better in those games. As bad as we looked, every team has now struggled in a game or two as well

May be a hot take but I think hurts played better than the stats indicate.

One INT on a weird deflection off goedert that popped right up into the defenders hand, weird play.

Then the 2nd Interception driscoll gets abused the DE hits hurts arm causing off target wobbly pass

His third Int was mind bogglingly horrendously stupid. Not sure what the eff he was thinking.

Up to that point he had made some plays and the negative plays were more bad luck including some uncharacteristic drops by Smitty

Other than that really bad throw I thought he was one of the guys that showed up.

This is pretty much how I see it as well. The 3rd INT was all on Hurts, but the first 2 were clearly not his fault. He didn't play a good 4th quarter, but I thought he actually played well until the one INT that was "actually" his fault ... then he started pressing from that point until the end (almost had a 4th Int). I'm not worried about Jalen at all ... I am worried about the play calling and obviously RT where we got **** play after Lane went down and no scheme help to remedy the issue. When a QB can't trust a Tackle to protect him it rushes his decision making which alters results. We should have been screen-gaming them to death on the right side since a successful screen game involves letting the Defensive Ends initially beat you. Jack Driscoll got an A+ all game in that department.

Did not see much of the game yesterday live. I saw mostly stuff in the first half. I didn’t expect us to go undefeated this season but I certainly didn’t expect us to lose to the jets.

Well the pressure of being undefeated and all that goes with that is gone.

Defensively, the Eagle coaches do not teach their players to create turnovers. They have capable players. But, they just do not impress upon them to go for the ball. CJGJ was a hired gun and not a drafted played here. The last player who the Eagles drafted who could create turnovers was Jordan Hicks. Also again with the LB's, did you see the Jets LB (Williams) flying all over the field, in the backfield, making plays in coverage? The Eagles don't draft or develop that position, and it makes all the difference.
