Hurts has reverted back to his old self and its reminding me of Wentz. One good year, get paid, and start sucking.

You don't want to watch another humbling presser? Haha. Dude is a itch

It's been a while since I've ever been so pissed off at a player. Dude's face is a mental punching bag in my head.

The more he talks, the more I hate him

We’re stuck with him for awhile. No one is taking on his contract.

Howie was dumb enough to give it to him. Wentz all over

Yup.. sure looks that way. 16 turnovers after this one? But yeah he’s MVP caliber 😂😂😂😂😂

I always wanted to like him and give him a chance. But I wanted him to show he could put together seasons in a row. It’s pretty obvious he can’t and now we’re stuck.

way too much hero buddy ball. but don't think there's anyone on that team that can keep him in check at this point.

looking like he's turning into another wentz, unfortunately.

I'm a Hurts guy but his decision making has taken a major step backwards. Trusting Quez Watkins to make a play on a deep ball when they were driving and on the verge of field goal range was just flat out stupid. So was the last play of the game. They only needed 15-20 yards for a legit chance at a game tying field goal and he chucks it up deep into double coverage. I just don't understand how a guy can go from looking so smart one year to looking like his football IQ is a serious concern.

He’s become so inconsistent now. He doesn’t play solid anymore. Sometimes he’ll read the whole field. Sometimes he’ll play buddy-ball. Sometimes he’ll go through his progressions. Sometimes he’ll just pick one of his 3 guys and throw it no matter what. Sometimes he trusts his line vs the blitz. Sometimes he bails at the first sign of penetration.

sometimes he’ll give a guy a chance with a deep pass. Sometimes he won’t look their way no matter what.

he’s stopped playing solid. Maybe next year he’ll be better because apparently he plays better when he has the same OC 2 years straight and NOBODY is gonna want Brian Fing Johnson.

but for now, he is what he is. Inconsistent. And that’s not good enough.

Scouting report coming out of college:

After Tua Tagovailoa took the starting job from Hurts at Alabama, Hurts transferred to Oklahoma for his senior year. Under Lincoln Riley, he completed 70 percent of his passes in 2019 for 3,851 yards with 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Hurts had a lot of good receiver talent to work with, and the Sooners became more of a running offense with him at quarterback compared to how they operated with Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield in the previous two seasons. League sources say Hurts is not the personality made out to be, and they heard from some staff at Oklahoma who are happy to see Hurts leave the program. Behind the scenes, it sounds as though things weren’t as smooth for him in the transition from Alabama to Oklahoma.

He had an exceptional year last year.  This is much more consistent with the flaws he showed coming ou of schoolt.  Hopefully, it's a slump because we have too much cap room tied up in him to not be very good.

Howie rolled the dice tying up that much salary into one good season.  And after an MVP caliber season, he’s the **** that fumbled the Super Bowl away

Why did the eagles saddle themselves with this contract after one good year

Jesus god, some of you mf'ers were still pulling for Wentz when he was actively forcing a trade after getting Doug fired, now you're ****ing about Hurts contract after 3 bad games, get the F out.

Starting think the OP has a point

I was coming to ask "how long until the fans turn on Hurts?"   I guess it's pretty clear that has already started.  He's not having a good year compared to last year's standard, but it's too early to give up on him after the investment.

I think the concern is whether he can get better again. I’m certainly not out on him and we’ve seen glimpses this year but there are concerning signs with Hurts. He keeps talking about being better but now it is just becoming talk with no action.

Reminds me of Wentz. I’ve got to be better . This is on me.

Hurts has clearly shown he has the ability , but the BJ offense clearly doesn’t suit him. If they want 2022 hurts back I think they need to a change in the OC role next season

They need to change a lot of things and Hurts needs to change too. Whatever he was doing last year he’s not doing now. The NFL has caught up to him and he needs to find a way to get ahead again.

Yep. You don´t become a bad player overnight. He hasn´t been great the last couple of weeks, but he´s still quality. Look at how Mahomes has struggled recently. I suppose Big Red should bench him, too.

His play now is more consistent to his college play that some people tried to warn the board about.  Hero ball and breaking out of the pocket only goes so far.  If you take away the Brotherly Shove TDs, what does his stat line even look like?  I believe he can improve to something between this year and last, but teams have honed in on his tendencies.  He has to want to improve himself and the coaching staff needs to build to his skills, or this is what we may get for a long time.

I completely agree. He’d shown signs of improving as a pocket passer but those signs are fading. He’s not seeing the field, he’s missing open guys, he’s locking in on one receiver and he’s breaking the pocket early but coming up with nothing.

This is Oklahoma and Alabama Jalen.   He and the coaches need to come together right now.  I believe it is possible to see him get better, but last year's standard may be too high to expect.  He seems like a guy who knows he has to get better.
