September 29, 20241 yr Painful to watch this play out in real-time Was a staunch Hurts supporter, but beginning to lose faith in him… Not sure where we go from here.

September 29, 20241 yr It’s time to clean house. I hate the tradition of not making the moves in mid season. Siri should be fired, Hurts should be benched. It’s time to also take a very close look at Howie’s track record overall (not just free agency, but draft, cap allotment, coaching hires, etc).
September 29, 20241 yr Highe$t contract extension$ to Hurts and DeShaun "rub my belly" Watson. While amazing young college quarterbacks pop up like baby bunnies.
September 29, 20241 yr Jalen Hurts is the only QB in the league that doesn’t review plays on the tablet from the sideline. Even after another boneheaded turnover he sits there with that same smug punchable face.

September 29, 20241 yr This was a poor excuse of a game out of Hurts. Yeah I get it he didn’t have his talented receivers, but the majority of his early passes (excluding the Goedert drop) were woefully inaccurate. Still fumbling and putting the ball in harms way. Still holding the ball way too long. Trying to play hero ball just like Wentz used to. His consecutive turnover streak is coinciding with the Eagles poor win/loss record. And let’s be clear the Eagles are losing the turnover battle for two reasons. The first is this soft bend don’t break defense doesn’t get a lot of turnovers and the second is by far Jalen Hurts. I don’t even think any other player on the team has a turnover. He should’ve been benched today.

September 29, 20241 yr There is actually no defending this man anymore. When I said three years ago that I would come back and eat crow if he proves to be THE franchise QB I did exactly that and said I was wrong about him but glad to be wrong in my assessment. Here we are this year and he looks worse than he did back then. Absolutely NO pocket awareness, missed receivers alot, took way too many unnecessary sacks because he refuses to throw the ball away or takes what the defense gives him, and just piss poor mistakes. I say 2022 was lightning in a bottle and he was always who he was.....now, having said all of that, if he proves again that he is indeed the man to lead this franchise into the promised land then I was wrong twice....somehow I just doubt it....he is who he is....

Why was 2022 different? He had the same coordinator for the first time in consecutive seasons. They should not have fired Johnson if they were planning to keep Sirianni. Now look another season with a new coordinator and guess what? When Sirianni gets fired yet another season with a brand new coordinator.

September 29, 20241 yr I agree that Hurts' play has been concerning, but he's still a pretty young QB, not to mention the situation today being horrid circumstances. My problem with the modern NFL, and how QBs are assessed in particular, is with how fickle proportion are. It takes a long time to build up any sort of reputation in the NFL but only a coulple of bad games to destroy it and be run out of town. Haven't we seen it before where Philly eats one of its own too quickly, only to watch them move on to success elsewhere? I definit3ly don't like the contract absurdities for NFL QBs, though.

I’m saying he’s only been solid when he’s had steady coaching. Ultimately the player has to be better. He’s not getting it done. Still the coaching situation is an utter mess. They should’ve fired the HC. If they’re going into next year with Hurts and a new OC then you can expect more of the same.

There’s a very good chance next year they go in with a new HC and a new OC. And that HC may have no interest in Hurts but will be tied to him. It’s an all round bad bad situation. They should have fired Sirianni and brought in a HC to try and focus on getting something out of Hurts.

They don’t really have a relationship. This coach and quarterback have one too many seasons together.
