He's very frustrating to watch. At times he looks like he has the franchise qb thing down making most of the throws and you can see why people defend him so adamantly....but it seems his game breaks down the moment everything isn't going perfectly. I believe we were perfectly healthy that '22 season. That isn't common place in the nfl. Receivers and lineman go down. Also, the league will take away your strengths. I don't know if he has gotten slower, or they just figured out how to neutralize his legs...but they are nowhere near as effective.  At some point you can't just keep blaming the coaches and who's missing on the field and start blaming the man in the jersey...

I don't think he's done because of money. I think he's done because he is a super slow thinker and an inaccurate passer. He's been that for 5 years now. Move him after this season. There's a reason Bama got rid of him.

Situation is reminding me of Wentz a lot. Though Wentz didn't have a Brown, Smith, and Barkley

QB play isn't the reason for 2 losses, we need to get healthy and we need the defense to be consistent/better.  Baker looked mediocre the past 2 weeks, had an INT in both games, and then has a record day against this defense. Jalen definitely needs to improve on pocket awareness and protect the ball better, but he shouldn't be in a position where he has to play perfect in order to come back from a 24 point deficit.

Hurts didn't have Brown and Smith yesterday, or Lane (which is why the pass rush was so effective).  

You'd think our OC would be smart and lean more on Barkley with Smith and AJ out, but no. You'd also think Fangio would make adjustments after getting walked down on that 1st series, but nope. OK, 2nd series same results, time to make adjustments right? Nope.   I'm just gonna be honest, I think the bigger issue is coaching.

I think the decline started because of the money.  He far surpassed expectations (and even his own I would imagine) and got paid for one season that was now obviously an outlier relative to his ability.  And I don’t think the money gave him a sense of entitlement, to the contrary, I think he wanted to prove that he was worth the money and knew deep down that he wasn’t.  So he has pressed ever since.  He has been unable to consistently handle the pressure ever since.

1st off all read the room. QB play is the reason for the teams poor performances. Jalen has been in decline for over a year. It's very clear that Jalen needs people around him to make himself better. Not the opposite. It's same talk every week, with no changes. I have to be better, yadda, yadda, yadda. All lip service just like the C.E.O. coach.

I call his style of play 2 read (brown and Smith) and speed (take off). Last year the league worked on taking away the speed element of his game and overall was successful. Everyone calling for the RPO isn't paying attention...they know it's coming and own it anytime we try it. It's year two of trying to develop a THIRD read and it's leading to him holding the ball the longest in the league still and him constantly getting stripped.  Luckily for him he will have A+ talent around him for years so he will always be okay...but it's really hard to ignore everything we've seen

There are other players to throw the ball to. It's not just Smith and Brown. Yes Lane was out but you adjust. They didn't adjust at all

So the 15 missed tackles are because of Jalen's play?  Was it Jalen's fault that Fangio didn't make adjustments on defense?  Honestly, he could've had a good game yesterday with no turnovers, and we probably still would've lost because the defense was that bad. Yeah, he has to be better, but ignoring AJ, Smith, and Lane being out is hilarious. If those guys had played, we probably win due to the offense carrying the defense, much like we did last season in the 10-1 start.

Yeah, and when you aren't getting sacked 6 times and hurried often, you have time to throw to those other guys.  Seriously though, if it was that easy to come in and replace AJ and Smith's production, then do we even need those guys? Just let them go and spend the money elsewhere then with that logic, lol.

To be fair, it´s a huge drop from Smitty and Brown, and even Britain Covey, to Johnny Wilson. 

I do agree Jalen as a part of the problem, but he isn´t the only problem. Tampa yesterday knew they just had to stack the box and our offense would be in big trouble. And the defense was trash yesterday (though in part because they were on the field so much early, in horrible conditions)

The defense is a separate issue. Jalens play and command of the QB position is lacking. Yes, he was without 3 top players yesterday. He didn't do anything to elevate his game. Jalen has been regressing in his fundamentals and awareness for over a year. He still doesn't read his wr route progressions, misses easy throws, still goes for the harder (percentage wise) throws. Instead of taking what is in front of him.

There isn't replacing aj or Smith, but most qbs in the league have neither of those guys...and Jalen has both plus Dallas, Barkley, and a really solid to great oline. Sometimes it's on the qb to execute the gameplan, not rely on the talent to bail him out of his poor execution of the gameplan. 

Championship QBs raise others around them and that's not what we are seeing. He is hoisting up bad passes to make splash plays and passing up what the defense is giving him. It feels like hero ball, but other teams have identified his weaknesses and are exploiting them.  We are in deep with him, so I hope someone can get into his head while also building an offense that he can run.

He needed to get the ball out quicker. He was so slow with his release. He knew the blitz was coming and still waited. If no ones open (there were players open) then you scheme short passes for the blitz. He can also throw the ball and let players make a play.

Yeah, which is on the coaches. If you know he has no time to go through his options, then dink and dunk it, so why didn't Moore do more of that? It's not like they didn't do it, but they also shouldn't have to worry about needing to score every drive because the defense is just going to give up points whenever they're on the field. 

And like I said, Dotson isn't AJ or Smith. Those guys aren't easy to replace. "plus others" just explains how irrelevant those receivers are because you don't even bother naming them, lol.

Well, besides Brady and Mahomes, who are you using as examples? If it were that easy to do, every NFL team would have elite QB's. Also, I've seen a number of games where Mahomes turns it over and has a bad game, yet gets the win because KC's defense stepped up. We needed the defense to step it up like last week and they folded.
